Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the explanation of why people stay in unsatisfactory jobs is a bit repetitive, and the points regarding 'youngsters' could be more deeply explored with more specific, real-world examples rather than general statements about online platforms. While the task is fully addressed, the supporting arguments lack the depth required for a higher band score, as some points are stated rather than fully extended.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each viewpoint, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'In addition', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the referencing is occasionally slightly awkward, such as in the phrase 'I believe in later statement'. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and the structure supports the reader's understanding of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety needed for a higher score. There are several instances of non-standard collocations or phrasing, such as 'cop up with' (instead of 'cope with'), 'clutter market' (instead of 'cluttered' or 'competitive market'), and 'not cup of tea' (which is an idiom used slightly incorrectly here). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and the errors in word choice occasionally draw attention.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('in same compony'), subject-verb agreement issues ('youngster are not accept'), and awkward phrasing ('not fond of to live'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring that complex structures are used with greater accuracy.
