Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. I do agree that it is better to try and improve such situations. Thus, discussed in this essay.
Nowadays, job market is becoming tougher day by day. Peoples often finds difficulties to secure an average job, that's the main reason that some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. However they even can't find the job in their own field. Countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Srilanka are facing such problems due to large number of candidates for example, India's civil service exams was held last year. Vacancies are approximately 50 for males and 30 for females. Approximately 9000 candidates were registrated for the exam and 8950 students were appeared for that exam.
Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Because others believe that they want to improve their skills which makes the candidate unique for the job market. This is partically true beacuse nowadays Artificial Intelligence are managing the IT industries and other sectors are also managed from the AI. They think that they try to get better in their work which will help to get them a better opportunities in future.
I personally believe that it is better to try and improve such situation by improving a strong skills as well as improve their communication skills which helps to impress the recuriter.
In conclusion, Improving a situation is far better than accepting a bad situation such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. It can leads such problems such as depression, blood pressure and etc.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The example regarding civil service exams in South Asia is relevant but lacks a clear connection to the prompt's core theme of 'accepting vs. improving' a situation. The essay would benefit from more depth in explaining why one might choose to accept a bad situation, as this section is quite brief. The conclusion introduces new ideas (health consequences) that were not previously discussed, which is a minor structural weakness.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. For example, the transition 'Because others believe' at the start of a sentence is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where 'It can leads such problems' lacks a clear antecedent. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be more cohesive to better link the supporting arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'registrated' (registered), 'students were appeared' (students appeared), and 'partically true' (partially true). The use of 'etc.' in a formal essay is inappropriate. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'Artificial Intelligence' and 'IT industries', the overall lexical control is limited, and the errors occasionally draw attention to the language rather than the content.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Peoples often finds', 'Artificial Intelligence are managing'), incorrect verb forms ('students were appeared'), and missing articles. Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure is often simplistic. The frequency of these errors means that while the meaning is usually understood, the control over complex structures is not yet consistent enough for a higher band score.
