Student answer (Band 5.0)

many people believes that sometimes it is good to accept bad situations like unsatisfactory job and shortage of money where others argue over it is better to make efforts to improve situation.

I agree with the both views and in my opinion it is good to accept situation like job by whom people are not satisfied then lack of money it is very good idea to accept every situation with smile but it is also important to make an effort to improve lifestyle for it doing hard-work to make life better is also very much important.

There are numbers of people who suffers from various kind of problems for example some are facing family problems , study related problems , job related problems where some people may facing relationship problems ,money related problems , it is believed by many people that perspective is very important for the tackling the problems to go through it , the way we sees problem affects so much hence we should accept every situation with the smile and try to be happy in every condition no matter how hard time is because it is the thing which helps us to live life otherwise there are some people who goes in depression by thinking negative things for example they thinks like only they suffers from the problem but these thoughts only brings negativity to their life hence it is considered by many people that we should accept every situation in our life as a phase like it is a part of life which we have to live in order to live happy life we must have to go through it hence many people suggests to accept every situation in life and i agree with it.

however, making efforts to upgrade our life is also as important as accepting situation because some people might take it in wrong way and just accepts the situation and do's nothing to make their life good and improve their situation hence it is said to take it as correlated thing , because both affects life if any one of them is not followed people must work hard to in order to achieve their goals.

overall these things are related to each other in my opinion people should accept every situation with the smile and work hard to achieve lifestyle and things they seeks in life it is best thing they can do to improve their situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the discussion on 'accepting situations' relies heavily on general statements about happiness and depression rather than exploring the practical implications of accepting an unsatisfactory job or financial hardship. The argument for 'improving situations' is also underdeveloped, lacking concrete examples or a clear logical progression. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, well-supported arguments that directly address the complexities of the prompt rather than relying on broad, philosophical generalizations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical and repetitive. You rely heavily on basic linking words like 'hence' and 'because', which are sometimes used incorrectly or create run-on sentences. For example, the third paragraph is a single, very long sentence structure that lacks clear internal punctuation, making it difficult to follow the progression of your argument. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices, the referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical connection between the two viewpoints could be more effectively managed with more sophisticated transitions.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms such as 'good', 'bad', 'problems', and 'things'. There is little evidence of less common lexical items or an awareness of collocation. For example, phrases like 'do's nothing' (incorrect grammar) and 'the way we sees problem' (incorrect subject-verb agreement and word choice) indicate a need for more precise vocabulary. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to career, financial management, and personal development, and try to avoid repeating the same simple adjectives throughout your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many people believes', 'they thinks'), incorrect verb forms ('some people goes', 'some are facing... where some people may facing'), and punctuation errors, particularly the lack of full stops to separate independent clauses. The sentence structures are often overly simplistic or run-on, lacking the variety required for higher bands. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree, and using punctuation correctly to separate distinct ideas.
