Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides an opinion, though the development is quite limited. The arguments regarding accepting a situation versus changing it are introduced but lack depth and specific examples. The conclusion is somewhat confusing; you state that people should 'never accept a bad situation,' but the reasoning provided ('not only they are goona feel better but it is gonna to be worse in along term') is contradictory and unclear. To improve, you need to expand on your points with concrete examples and ensure your position is clearly articulated and logically supported throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'there are some people' to start sentences. Referencing is also problematic; for instance, 'one`s situation' and 'one` career' are used incorrectly. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, making the argument difficult to follow. To reach a higher band, you should use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus that connects back to the main prompt.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'bad situation' and 'super important.' There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'alter way' instead of 'alternative' and 'mental issue' instead of 'mental health issues.' Additionally, the informal tone, including the use of 'goona,' is inappropriate for an Academic IELTS task. You need to focus on learning more precise academic vocabulary and collocations to convey your points more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('there are some people believe'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, and there is a lack of complex sentence structures. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of apostrophes (e.g., 'one`s'). To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and reducing the frequency of errors in simple structures before attempting more complex ones.
