Student answer (Band 6.0)
Few people think that it is best to accept a bad situation, like an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money, while others believe that it is better to try and improve such situations.
On the one hand, it is sometimes good to be in a bad situation because people often learn from mistakes. They know how to tackle the situation and overcome from it. Furthermore, in some cases, people get stuck in a job where they don't want to be. But with the time, they get to learn so many things from it , like they will gain experience which help them to work in anywhere. They learn skills and confidence, which is most important in any field. For example, I used to work in an office where I never wanted to be because I don't like the working environment there. When I left the job, I realize that, there might be different people with different perspective in working environment where we have to deal with very carefully.
On the other hand, it is somehow good to try and improve such situations as mental health is more important. When people are not satisfied with the job they are working, they may get pressured which will directly affect their work. So, it is good to find the better place where they find themselves, In such places, they can learn so many skills and knowledge. In addition to this, this will directly affect the growth and development of people and overall company.
With the above explanation, I totally agree that it very good to try and improve such situation for your personal and professional growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument for accepting a bad situation is supported by a personal anecdote, but the reasoning remains slightly superficial. The discussion on the benefits of improving a situation is better developed, focusing on mental health and professional growth. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced explanations and ensure that the link between your examples and the main argument is more explicit. The position is consistent throughout, but the depth of analysis could be improved to fully satisfy the requirements for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Furthermore', and 'In addition to this' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition from the personal example to the conclusion is abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'In such places' which refers back to a general idea rather than a specific noun. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a strong topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'working environment', 'professional growth', and 'mental health'. However, there is a reliance on simpler, repetitive phrasing such as 'bad situation' and 'good to'. To improve, you should incorporate a wider range of more precise vocabulary to avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language. For example, instead of 'bad situation', you could use 'adverse circumstances' or 'unfavourable conditions'. Occasional word choice errors, such as 'with the time' instead of 'over time', also limit the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Examples include 'which help them to work in anywhere' (should be 'anywhere'), 'I realize that' (tense inconsistency), and 'deal with very carefully' (missing object). There are also punctuation issues, such as the comma splice in 'find themselves, In such places'. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher band score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tenses will help improve your accuracy.
