Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some individuals believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, while some people argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. I completely agree with this view.
One important factor is that some pupils believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. In sometimes people feel uncomfortable in the job sector but they will also done for it. They will not satisfied to the job but also work on it. In sometimes people will have no money but they show the strong encourage for everything. They can work done for there spirit. Therefore at this situation the person can done for the work in patience. Sometimes the good and bad situation will be happened on that time. The person will not work in the bad situation.
On the other hand, some people argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Many people have not their good job they try to improve better job. And develop new skills due to improve better job. Some people learn new skills for there future to try different things. However it is a good thing for the individual to search on different things.
In my opinion it is better to try and improve such situations. People learn different skills to enhance there thinking abilities and improve their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. For example, the paragraph discussing the acceptance of a bad situation is unclear, with phrases like 'they will also done for it' failing to convey a coherent argument. The ideas are not fully extended or supported with specific examples, leading to a somewhat superficial discussion. To improve, you should focus on providing concrete reasons and logical explanations for your viewpoint rather than repeating general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'some people' and 'in sometimes'. The transition between the two viewpoints is abrupt, and the concluding paragraph does not effectively summarise the main points, instead offering a vague statement about the essay itself. Improving the use of linking words like 'furthermore', 'conversely', or 'consequently' would help create a smoother flow between your sentences and paragraphs.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'good', 'bad', and 'job'. There are also several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'show the strong encourage' instead of 'show strong encouragement' and 'work done for there spirit'. These errors occasionally make it difficult for the reader to follow your intended meaning. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'resilience', 'professional development', or 'career advancement', and ensure you are using words in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('they will also done for it'), subject-verb agreement, and confusion between 'there' and 'their'. Punctuation is generally basic, and the lack of complex sentence structures limits your ability to express more sophisticated ideas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly verb tenses and the correct use of prepositions, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
