Student answer (Band 5.5)

Many people tend to believe that it would be the best to chose the unsatisfactory job with little payment, while others argue that it is essential to take the wise decision on trying and making the better situation. This essay will discuss the both views before explaining why I choose the latter one.

Most people choose to stay at the worst situation not because they are not able to tackle the issues but because to grab the opportunity at the right time, as all the things will come at their time. Moreover, not only in the personal but also in the professional life, individuals do have such situation in which they have to stay calm and think for not the better present but for the bright future. For instance, many employee face this kind of problems related their employment, as they are not getting the promotion and not even the satisfied remuneration. At that condition they may be silent to that extend in which they get the idea to survive in such hard situation. After that they get the proper management skills related to their job.

However, others are concerned about such difficult situation and they believe in taking wise decision to make the better situation. If the employees of an organization is not getting the chance of promotion, they can take the initiation for training and some others projects in order to horn their existing skills, which can lead them to get the promotion as well as the remuneration related the post. For example, many employees do initiate for training for their placement in higher position.

But in my opinion, Both views have their own importance, even people chose to stay at the difficult situation that do not determine their incapability to be changed but it might be the safe trick to be better in future, while others choose to take decision for better situation for their career enhancement in short period, that is probably the great thought and steps taken by the individuals. But taking wise decision to react the situation quickly might get the success quickly.

In conclusion, many people believe in staying calm in the difficult condition, while others tend to choose the changes for their improvement in the future and even the current situation. I personally believe that taking the instance wise reaction to the situation may be beneficial for both personal as well as the professional life of the individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While the first body paragraph attempts to explain the benefits of patience, the reasoning is slightly vague, using phrases like 'all the things will come at their time' which lacks academic precision. The second body paragraph provides a clearer example regarding training and skill development. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, and the position, while present, could be more clearly articulated throughout the body paragraphs rather than just in the final section. Overall, the response is relevant but would benefit from more specific, logical support for the arguments presented.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover', 'However', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'At that condition they may be silent to that extend in which they get the idea to survive'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, making the flow between sentences feel disjointed at times. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion within the paragraphs needs more variety and smoother integration of ideas to reach a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices or non-standard collocations, such as 'chose the unsatisfactory job', 'satisfied remuneration', and 'horn their existing skills' (likely intended 'hone'). While the meaning is generally clear, the vocabulary is often repetitive and lacks the flexibility to express complex ideas with nuance. To improve, the student should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and avoiding literal translations of phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many employee face', 'employees of an organization is'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'taking the instance wise reaction'). While the errors do not completely obscure the meaning, they are frequent enough to be noticeable throughout the text. The student should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring that complex sentence structures are constructed correctly.
