Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that it is in the best interest to accept a bad situation such as unsatisfactory job or shortage of money while others share a different opinion that it is better to try and improve bad situation. In my opinion, it is best to try and improve your situation. Some people share an idea of accepting a bad situation. This may be suitable for those who are afraid of taking risks. It might not be easy to find a job again or there is a possibility that salary offered by next employer is even more less as compared to current one. For example, a person with a family with only one source of income is more likely to accept such situation because a family depends on him financially. But this is not true in all cases. While on the other hand, people who share a school of thought to try and improve such situations. They are more keen to look forward for optimistic outcomes. They want to try for something better. They are not afraid of taking risks. I agree with such people beacuse in my opinion, it is better to try and fail rather than living a non-acceptable life. Now iam a pharmacist. If i has not tried at that time , i would not be able to achieve where iam today. This decision of trying and improving involve may risks. Success comes with failures. In conclusion, those want to accept the unsatifactory conditions have their owns advantages and disadvantages and vice versa. But i think it's better to try than acceptin an unsatisfactory conditon.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide a brief example regarding a family breadwinner, the explanation of why one might choose to accept a bad situation is quite brief. Similarly, the argument for improving one's situation relies heavily on a personal anecdote about being a pharmacist. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the broader implications of these choices—such as the psychological impact of stagnation versus the potential for professional growth—rather than relying solely on personal experience. The conclusion is also quite abrupt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For example, you use 'Some people' and 'They' repeatedly to start sentences, which makes the flow feel a bit disjointed. There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect your arguments smoothly. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or lack proper transition, such as the sudden shift between the discussion of the two views. Improving the variety of your transition signals would significantly enhance the logical flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'bad situation' and 'try for something better' multiple times. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'more less' (which is grammatically incorrect) and 'non-acceptable life'. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition. For instance, instead of 'bad situation', you could use 'adverse circumstances' or 'stagnant professional environment'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'If i has not tried at that time , i would not be able to achieve where iam today' (incorrect verb tense and subject-verb agreement) and 'This decision of trying and improving involve may risks' (syntax error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization of 'i'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
