Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the given statements there is written that "some people think that it will be best to accept a critical situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money".On the other side, "some people believe that it is better to try and improve such situations".
in my opinion,I will agree with the second statement.I agree with the statement"People believe that it is better to try and improve such situations".we should not cry on what happened in the past, because we cannot bring that moment back. For example if a person die we cannot give him life or we cannot bring him back in the world. So improve such situations, for this we need to try something. For the unsatisfactory job we should do hard work and start the hard work for the job on which we are satisfy and for the lack of money we need to to something that kill the shortage of money.
On the other side why i did not agree or why i disagree with the statement"some people think that it is best to accept a bad situation"?This statement also holds some respect but in my opinion i disagree with this statement because we should do something to get out of this.It is also true that we should argue with that but we did not argue on the bad situations for the whole life.So i will go with the first statement because I am the person who want to do new things and want to try something special.
At last i will complete my answer with a saying that"Nothing goes virtue or nothing goes waste".

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The arguments provided are simplistic, such as the example of death, which is not relevant to the context of jobs or money. The position is clear, but the explanation lacks depth and logical progression. The essay relies on general statements rather than well-supported arguments or specific examples, which prevents it from reaching a higher band. To improve, you should focus on expanding your points with clear, logical reasoning and relevant real-world examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is weak. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'On the other side'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument's progression. Paragraphing is present but does not effectively group related ideas. To improve, you should use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that supports the overall argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic words like 'bad', 'do', and 'try'. There are instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'kill the shortage of money' and 'argue with that'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of variety and the presence of errors in collocation hinder the quality of the writing. You should aim to incorporate more academic vocabulary and synonyms to avoid repetition and improve the sophistication of your expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement, punctuation, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'In the given statements there is written that'. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the control over basic grammar is inconsistent. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces after commas and periods. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and article usage.
