Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's modern world, the competeition is rising enormously day-by-day. Many people believe that it is better to accept difficult circumstances like not earning money or getting a less valuable job whereas others claim that people should make more efforts to improve their condition. Although, the situations are not similar for everyone some mortals may have a burden of loans or other major issues but they should always pursue the ways for their betterment. In this essay, i will further discuss about both the views and give my opinion in the following paragraphs.
One of the biggest reason to constantly try and improve the present situation is because working in a hectic schedule and unsatisfactory job can lead to severe mental health problems as well as prevention of personal and professional growth. So one should definitely take approapriate measures to enhance their condition. For example, planning the monthly budget to not overspend. Also finding new sources of income would be of great help.
On the other hand, many people have a burden of medical loan or home loans which they need to fullfill at any cost. In this situation, acceptance can help a lot as not every issue can be resolved immediately and constanly worrying about it can disturb the mental peace and can deterirate the work flow in the job. For instance, my friend named Mithil Patel accepted the 5 year duration bond job to payout the medical loan of his family. At that time, it was very difficult for him to work
In conclusion, every mortal have a different situations in their life but i strongly believe that one should constantly try to improve their situation and develope themelves to achieve a better financial condition for their family as well as it can help improve the economy of country deliberately.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument for improving one's situation is supported by general suggestions, but the counter-argument regarding acceptance is less developed, ending abruptly with an incomplete sentence ('...work'). While the prompt is addressed, the lack of a complete thought in the second body paragraph limits the depth of the discussion. To reach a higher band, ensure that all points are fully explained and that the essay structure remains consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand' and 'In conclusion' are used to signal shifts in the argument. However, the flow is occasionally disrupted by minor mechanical errors and the incomplete sentence in the second body paragraph. Referencing is generally clear, though the transition between the personal example and the broader argument could be smoother. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the logical structure is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'deteriorate' and 'enormously', though there are also spelling errors like 'competeition', 'approapriate', 'fullfill', and 'develope'. The use of 'mortals' is slightly unnatural in this context, as it is usually reserved for literary or philosophical discussions rather than everyday financial advice. Improving spelling accuracy and refining word choice to better suit the formal register of an academic essay would significantly enhance this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('every mortal have', 'a different situations') and missing articles. The incomplete sentence at the end of the second body paragraph is a significant error that affects the overall grammatical control. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and sentence completion is essential.
