Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many individual think that is okay to acknowledge bad condition, like unpromising employment or incomplete cash. others suggest that it is nice to make effort to change the conditions. In this essay i will discuss both views, and i believe it's better to try and improve such situations.
To accept a bad situation such as unsatisfactory job or shortage of money is heartbreaking and has emotional implication in someone's health. This can lead to depression, which could be damaging in everyday life activities even in the workplace. The unsatisfactory feeling about one's job, can lead to unproductivity at work and poor output. Likewise, shortage of money, affects the economic condition and planning which has the potential to creep the social status of an individual, thereby making someone to settle for less in a situation as that. Take for instance, when an employee feels satisfied about their job in terms of employee benefits and compensation, it boosts their moral and leads to high productivity.
Other suggestions from people, is to try to improve such situation. This is true, because when your job or situation doesn't impact you positively, the right thing to do is to work on the situation to fix it. Many individuals have been seen changed their jobs many time in other to improve their career life and and achieve their objectives in other to reach their potential and can contribute positively to society in the future. The work-life when and individual is single cannot be the same when one has a family. Family has a way of increasing the financial burden and the need to improve the situation becomes eminent.
Inclusion, to improve the overall wellbeing of an individual, it is best to try to improve bad situation, whether in terms of job or financial situation as this will enable exhibition of full potential if achieved

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The first body paragraph focuses heavily on the negative impacts of accepting a bad situation, while the second paragraph attempts to explain why improvement is better but lacks depth in its reasoning. Some points, such as the mention of 'social status' or 'family burden', are introduced but not fully explained or linked back to the prompt's core question. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is clearly connected to the main argument with more detailed explanation and relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Likewise', 'For instance', and 'Inclusion' (though 'In conclusion' would be more accurate). However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Other suggestions from people, is to try to improve such situation'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The use of paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs more variety and precision to achieve a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'incomplete cash' instead of 'financial hardship', 'creep the social status', and 'eminent' instead of 'imminent'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of errors in collocation limit the score. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary rather than relying on basic or incorrectly used terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Many individual think', 'Other suggestions... is'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('have been seen changed their jobs'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, you should focus on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and ensuring that complex sentence structures are constructed accurately.
