Student answer (Band 6.0)
There are so many people dealing with issues like poverty, unemployment or health. A large group of people accept these problems as their fate while some never stop trying to achieve better and satisfactory results. In my view point, one should not give up in life before achieving his or her desires.
Firstly, the group of individuals who believe that, every problem is because of our fate and we cant do anything to change it other then accept it. They believe that everything bad happening in their life is because it was meant to happen and this believe makes them to accept the unsatisfactory situations like financial crisis, professional work life balance or any other calamity. For example, One of my friend was working in private architectural firm for the past 3 years. When he joined the company he was supposed to get health benefits and travel allowance but he got nothing. He was frustrated after so many applications to Hiring manager and CEO which resulted in nothing as well. In the he stopped asking and accepted working their without those benefits.
On the other hand, so many people have different mindset when it comes to difficult situations. They always seek help from others and try different ways to solve the issue. For instance, During the Covid 19 era my financial condition was worse because business was importing and exporting items and this was the most effected industry during that time. I tried my best to survive on those conditions but in the end i had to temporarily close my business. But i ask for some advice from my family and friends and my father suggested me to start working as delivery rider for sometime which was a good decision and i survived the rough period with honour.
Moreover, I believe there are so many ways to tackle down any issue if you have the will to survive in difficult situations.
To conclude, it is easy to just sit down and not face the situation. It is easy to accept any condition as your fate. But it is comparatively harder to try multiple times and ways to improve the situation you are going through which in the end a better thing to do.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the discussion of fate versus personal agency. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The first body paragraph relies on a single personal anecdote that is slightly underdeveloped in terms of its broader implications. The second body paragraph is more effective in linking personal experience to the prompt. To reach a higher band, ensure that the discussion of 'fate' is explored with more depth rather than just through a single example. The conclusion is clear, but could be more robust in summarizing the main arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'In the he stopped asking'. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'financial crisis' and 'professional work life balance'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are occasional errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'tackle down any issue' (should be 'tackle') and 'most effected industry' (should be 'affected'). The repetition of simple words like 'good' and 'easy' suggests that the student needs to expand their range of synonyms to achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms, articles, and prepositions (e.g., 'every problem is because of our fate and we cant do anything', 'One of my friend', 'ask for some advice'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and missing commas. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher band score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
