Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is difficult phase in everyone's life which test the patience of individual . Some people think that it is best to accept any situation, such as shortage of money and or any unusual job. However others believe that it is better to try and improve such situation. I agree with latter view because everyone should at least try and might some of can get positive outcomes . I will be discussing some relevant points in upcoming paragraphs with suitable conclusion .

To commence with, the prominent reason of why people think it better to accept is that for instance if a person face a serious problem such as cancer which can not be treated it is better for people to accept it rather then spending money or wasting time on problem which can not be solved. Moreover if a person did not get his desired job it is better for him to accept it .

In contrast, whenever there is bad phase in anybody life they should try to improve their situation so that efforts made by them could be remember by future generation . A person who is not able to deal with this kind situation they are useless in my opinion. Apart from this, a person who do hardwork always get success in his life

To conclude this , in my opinion a person should at least try to handle any problem rather than accepting it or by loosing the completely

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument but lacks depth in development. The ideas provided, such as the mention of cancer or job dissatisfaction, are presented in a very superficial manner without sufficient explanation or relevant examples. The position is clear, but the arguments are not fully extended. Furthermore, the response is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the ability to provide a comprehensive discussion. To improve, you should aim to expand on your points with specific, logical reasoning and ensure the essay meets the required length to fully explore the prompt's complexities.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While there are some cohesive devices used, such as 'To commence with' and 'In contrast', they are sometimes used mechanically or incorrectly. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is disjointed. The conclusion is abrupt and does not effectively summarize the main points. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'bad situation', 'problem', and 'good'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'loosing the completely' and 'unusual job', which hinder clarity. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations. Focus on using words that accurately convey your intended meaning rather than relying on generic descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'a person who do hardwork'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structures (e.g., 'There is difficult phase'). While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often faulty. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses and pluralization. Proofreading for common errors like missing 's' on verbs and incorrect word order will help improve your accuracy significantly.
