Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is a argued by some individuals that it is good if people opt the worst situation either it is unsatisfactory work or shortage of money, while others believe that they should get rid of these situations. This essay will discuss both views , as far as I am concerned I am in side of latter notion.
There are plethora of reasons why people are ready to accept bad situations. The first and foremost is that due to discrimination in society. In other words, as due to poverty and racial discrimination, some people cannot raise their voices and they feel shy to come forward even if they have huge talent. This prevents them from criticising others and forces them to remain at same position. To cite an example, as in large companies mainly rich persons hold the position of CEO and managers, and small workers works under them. Hence such behavioural differences prevent them to come forward in the society.
On the other hand, I would believe that they should make amendments in such bad situations . Firstly, they can build their confidence level if they seek help from government. To explain it, if people try to improve these situations by taking the advantage of large authorities and fight against these illegal activities they can get a feeling of satisfaction. They can achieve happiness, better lifestyle, good communication skills that directly helps them to increase their productivity level. For example, Henry Miller was not satisfied with his job so he leaves his job and start working as an artist that helps them to earn huge fame in society. Furthermore, if people have satisfied jobs and good money then they can get rid of various health issues like mental disorders, lazziness, and heart problems. As a result, their relationships can also become stronger.
In conclusion, although some people have to live in bad situations due to discrimination, but I argue that individuals should try to improve such situations to attain better lifestyle, increased productivity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, though the development is somewhat uneven. The first body paragraph regarding discrimination is a bit tangential to the core issue of accepting versus improving a bad situation, as it focuses more on the causes of the situation rather than the choice to accept it. The second body paragraph is better developed, offering clear benefits for taking action. To reach a higher band, ensure that every point directly supports the central argument and provides more nuanced exploration of the 'accepting' viewpoint.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The first and foremost', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'as far as I am concerned I am in side of latter notion'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun 'them' in the second paragraph, which could refer to either the workers or the managers. Improving the variety and natural flow of linking words would enhance the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'plethora' and 'amendments', which is positive. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'opt the worst situation' instead of 'accept the worst situation' and 'in side of latter notion' instead of 'on the side of the latter'. Spelling errors like 'lazziness' also occur. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring word forms are used accurately in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the worst situation'), prepositions, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'small workers works'). There are also issues with tense consistency, such as 'he leaves his job and start working'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Increasing the number of error-free sentences and focusing on basic grammatical accuracy would significantly improve the overall quality.
