Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the explanation of why acceptance is beneficial is somewhat vague, relying on general statements rather than specific examples or logical depth. The arguments for the opposing view are also underdeveloped, lacking concrete illustrations of how one might 'fight back' against a bad situation. To improve, you should provide specific examples—such as changing careers or seeking financial advice—to support your points, which would help you move beyond a superficial discussion of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'a head of my opinion' and 'the act which done by peoples' are awkward and hinder the flow of ideas. While the progression of the argument is generally easy to follow, the transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') more naturally and ensure that your referencing is precise to avoid confusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'up and down behaviour toward up and down situation' and 'build tacktic'. These errors occasionally make the meaning difficult to grasp. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To improve, you should focus on learning collocations (words that naturally go together) and expanding your range of academic vocabulary. Avoid using informal or vague phrasing and try to use more precise terminology related to the topic of personal development and problem-solving.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'A group of individual believe'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'which them help indidualed'), and missing articles or prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly in the conclusion. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors impacts the overall readability. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that you are using the correct tense consistently throughout your paragraphs.
