Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, people are loosing the hope of their developing career and accepting their faith. Some people choose accdptance instead of overcoming their problems such as unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. In contrast, some people argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. i believe that every individual has the capability to counter every bad circumstances in his life.
Firstly, there are a significant proportion of people in our society who are facing numerous challenges in thier day-to-day life but rather than looking for a solution, they preffered to leave that problem behind. These individuals chose to relax and stay in their comfort. They do not want any pressure and stress in their lifestyle. It is beacuse of several reason, for example some people belong tp various communities believe in god more than anything. Due to their faith and trust they ignore to solve their situations by their own.
However, other group of people come with a different mindset. They are highly concerned about their future and try to manage their issues by themselves. They have to make a sudden improvement and want to persue more achievements in their life. These groups never rely on others and solve problems in a systematic way. These people are majorly come from an intellectual family where they learn varieties of skills and carrier building opportunities.
In conclusion, although some people avoid to do hardwork and realise thier destiny, another group of individuals organise their own destination and resolving issues in their own way. I believe that giving up is not an option and confronting problems will provide a successful life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—accepting a bad situation versus trying to improve it—and clearly states the writer's own opinion in the introduction and conclusion. Ideas are relevant, such as discussing comfort zones, religious faith, and family backgrounds as reasons for acceptance or improvement. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed and rely on sweeping generalisations, such as claiming that people who accept situations 'belong to various communities believe in god more than anything' or that problem-solvers 'majorly come from an intellectual family'. While the main positions are presented and supported, the arguments lack nuanced examples or deep extension. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, placing it at Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, following a logical structure with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'Firstly', 'In contrast', 'However', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and cohesion can be repetitive or mechanical at times, and paragraph internal progression occasionally feels disjointed, as seen in sentences like 'It is beacuse of several reason, for example some people belong tp...'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, but the overall flow aligns well with the Band 6 descriptor where cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'contemporary era', 'capability', and 'systematic way'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors throughout the text, including 'loosing' instead of 'losing', 'accdptance' instead of 'acceptance', 'thier' instead of 'their', 'preffered' instead of 'preferred', 'beacuse' instead of 'because', 'tp' instead of 'to', 'persue' instead of 'pursue', 'hardwork' instead of 'hard work', and 'carrier' instead of 'career'. These lexical errors and spelling inaccuracies occasionally detract from the reading experience, though communication is generally maintained, placing the performance at a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures. However, there is a high frequency of grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'people are loosing the hope of their developing career and accepting their faith', 'counter every bad circumstances', 'ignore to solve their situations by their own', and 'another group of individuals organise their own destination and resolving issues'. Punctuation and verb agreement errors are also present. These errors frequently cause strain and difficulty for the reader, placing this criterion at a Band 5.0.
