Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views regarding accepting bad situations versus trying to improve them, and you present a clear personal opinion. However, your ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack sufficient depth and extended support. For instance, the discussion on careers merely states that risks bring success without exploring concrete mechanisms or detailed examples. Furthermore, the length requirement has not been met: the prompt mandates a minimum of 250 words, but your response contains only 247 words. This under-length shortfall directly impacts task fulfillment and prevents the award of a higher band score. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words and expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and fully developed examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

Your essay demonstrates a basic organizational structure with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing different aspects, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by mechanical and repetitive cohesive devices, such as the excessive use of 'moreover', 'additionaly', and 'also'. Paragraphing is attempted, but transitions between sentences and ideas feel abrupt and disjointed at times. For example, moving from career risks to health issues in the body paragraphs lacks a smooth transitional bridge. Pronoun referencing is also occasionally unclear, which forces the reader to work harder to follow your argument. To achieve a higher band score, you need to use a wider and more natural variety of cohesive links and ensure that your sentences flow logically from one to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

You demonstrate a limited vocabulary range that is minimally adequate for the task. Throughout the essay, you rely heavily on basic and repetitive words, such as 'risk', 'life', 'career', and 'things', rather than utilizing a wider lexical variety. There are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'taking risk in occupation lives' instead of 'professional lives', 'achive a thing which was not happend', and 'get a big amount of loss'. Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'achive', 'Additionaly', 'beacuse', 'succed', 'reasson', and 'stork' (stroke). These errors and the narrow vocabulary range sometimes cause difficulty for the reader and keep your lexical score at the lower-middle level. Incorporating precise academic vocabulary will significantly enhance your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

Your grammar features a mix of simple and somewhat complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently flawed. You exhibit persistent errors in basic grammar, subject-verb agreement, and tense consistency. Examples include 'the advantage of taking risks outweigh the disadvantage' (should be 'outweighs'), 'those who taking risk, most of them successful person', 'he get a big amount of loss', and 'advantage are grater then disadvantages'. Punctuation is also weak, with missing commas and spacing issues around punctuation marks. While your meaning is usually understandable despite these errors, the high frequency of grammatical inaccuracies restricts you to a Band 5.0. Focusing on sentence structure variety, subject-verb concord, and careful proofreading will help you raise this score.
