Student answer (Band 5.0)

According to the situation , there are two type of people which have different view.

The one group of people which beliefs , that situation like bad job , low salary is to be accepted.

And the other poeple of group beliefs that to its is better to improve it rather than the the to accept the situation.

Personally i will say better to improve , there is reason if I cant move forward ,and just accept the situation , so in the life race i will be stand in the same position and the people will be move forward and they will be much better than me in the race of life.

If I am in the situation like a job at small post in the company and I have low salary , so it is better to to struggle and improve your self rather than just to accept it , I will work hard and improve my position.

I see a lot of people they work at small post and and they have low salary so they have multiple conceqeunces, they have financial problems they get less respect.

I see also a lot of people , taking my father as example of that he improve himself rather than just accept he has low salary then he work hard and improve their self to a be4tter position and now he is happy at it. Rather than to just accept it.

So I will recommend the that always work hard improve yourself whatever the situation is. Belief in yourself. YOU can do whatever u want in life just focus improve your self and always go for better.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt by discussing the views on accepting a bad situation versus trying to improve it, and the student clearly states a personal opinion ('Personally i will say better to improve'). However, the ideas are underdeveloped and repetitive, relying heavily on personal assertion and simple examples rather than extended reasoning. The discussion around job dissatisfaction is touched upon, but points like 'financial problems' and 'less respect' are presented superficially. Additionally, the reasoning often drifts into conversational asides. While the prompt is addressed, the lack of fully elaborated arguments and support places this performance in the Band 5 category.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks clear logical organisation and effective paragraphing. The response is divided into very short, fragmented sentences and single-sentence paragraphs that hinder smooth progression. Cohesive devices are minimal and often misused or repetitive (for example, starting multiple sentences with 'I see' or 'Rather than'). There is no clear overall progression of ideas; instead, the writing feels like a stream-of-consciousness list of points. While the reader can generally follow the overarching opinion, the structural flaws, poor paragraphing, and lack of sophisticated cohesive links point clearly to a Band 4.5 or Band 5 level, best represented by a 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is very basic, repetitive, and limited ('small post', 'low salary', 'bad situation', 'improve yourself'). There are frequent word choice and collocation errors, such as 'poeple of group beliefs that to its is better', 'stand in the same position', and 'small post'. The student attempts to use some less common words like 'conceqeuences', but spelling errors and inaccurate applications impede clarity in places. The lexical range is minimally adequate to express basic thoughts, aligning closely with the Band 5 descriptor where vocabulary is limited and noticeable errors occur regularly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammatical range is extremely limited, consisting mostly of simple and poorly controlled compound structures. There are persistent, highly noticeable errors in basic grammar, punctuation, and sentence construction throughout the text (e.g., 'According to the situation , there are two type of people which have different view', 'Personally i will say better to improve , there is reason if I cant move forward ,and just accept the situation'). Run-on sentences, missing articles, incorrect verb forms ('beliefs' instead of 'believe'), and punctuation faults are pervasive. These errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from achieving a higher band.
