Student answer (Band 5.5)

Everyone has different point of view and thinking capability. Some of them believe to accept any bad situation and shortage of money. Others have a different perspective to try and make things better for themselves.

I strongly believe that, a human can do anything if they want to do. To spend their precious time in any job where they have mental stress is not good for our health. For example, If someone prioritize thier health over money then anyone can try or think to improve their quality of life rather than accept a bad situation an live with it.

When i was struggling financially, my mind was working 24/7 to get a job or to do something productive through which i can change this time. Nowadays, people are working online on different platforms to earn enormous amount of money on monthly basis or to make their life sedentary.

On the other hand, some people believe that this is the faith and they can not change it. They want to spend their life in that unsatisfactory situation and those people do not even think to make their present better. For example, one of my friends he does not like to work as an entrepreneur. In this era my friend does not want to upgrade his thoughts and he w can not prefer to work remotely and smartly. He thinks whatever he earns is enough and he can spends rest of his life doing that job.

To summerize my point, my opinion is everone deserves better. And we should try to make our life better. As there is no age limit to gain knowledge and use that knowledge in our practical life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the view of accepting bad situations and the view of trying to improve them, while also clearly stating a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial. For instance, the discussion around online work and modern platforms is introduced abruptly without strong integration into the core argument about financial struggles. Similarly, the example of the friend is brief and lacks depth. While the writer covers the task adequately, the supporting arguments require further extension and clearer elaboration to reach higher band levels. Overall, it satisfies the basic requirements of Task Achievement at a Band 6.0 level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently mechanical and sometimes faulty. Transitional phrases like 'When i was struggling financially' and 'To summerize my point' are basic. Furthermore, pronoun referencing can be confusing, such as in the sentence 'For example, one of my friends he does not like to work...', where the subject is duplicated. Paragraph progression is present, but the transitions between ideas lack smoothness and logical sophistication, placing this aspect firmly in the Band 6 category.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating everyday concepts and opinions. However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward collocations throughout the text, such as 'this is the faith' (intended to be 'fate'), 'enormous amount of money... to make their life sedentary', and 'upgrade his thoughts'. Spelling errors also occur, such as 'summerize' and 'everone'. While the writer attempts less common vocabulary, the persistent inaccuracies in word choice and spelling limit the score to Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation issues that disrupt the flow. Examples include missing articles ('a human can do anything', 'an live with it'), incorrect capitalization ('i'), and awkward syntactic structures ('he w can not prefer'). Conditional and relative structures are attempted but often marred by mistakes. While communication is not severely impeded, the high frequency of errors across simple and complex sentences points clearly to a Band 5.0 level.
