Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Almost all people in the world face unexpected scenarios atleast once in their life. These unexpected situautions lead to hopeless circumstances in their life as well. Depending on the psychological and emotional behaviour of the humans, there are ongoing discussions regarding the viable solutions that can be adopted in these kind of situations.

There is a group of people that emphasize on the idea that the best practice to avoid these situautions is to be prepared for all the leading consequences. These kind of people support a thought that is based on the survival instinct of the human beings. They also believe that once you have survived the tough times in your life, the better times will come eventually as a reward of the tough situations that you have already gone through. For instance, if you are a part of the job that does not match your expectations, you can gain an experience through the job you are currently employed with. Also, the gained experience has the potential to lead you to your dream job.

Moreover, there is an another group of the people who counter the above mentioned argument. These people have a belief that if life is giving you the tough times, you have to fight for yourself. These people encourage the idea of fighting for yourself and trying every possible option that is under your control. For instance, if you are facing the financial crisis in your life, you have to overwork in order to fulfill the needs of your life by earning more money. In this way, you will find a realistic and practical approach to find sloutions in order to go through the worst time in your life.

In my personal viewpoint, I believe that you don't have to take all the responsibility of getting exposed to the rough circumstances in your life. The best way to overcome these kind of situations is to trust yourself that you will make the best out of this specific condition. This type of psychological and emotional connection with yourself makes you avoid all the emotional degradation due to which most people are getting suicidial thoughts these days. The rough times eventually pass but they leave an impact on your life, your emotions and your selfrespect. Consequently, you don't have to giveup on yourself and try the best way that you can find to get over the tough times in your life.
