Student answer (Band 5.5)

some individuals admire that it is conditionl ti acciqure difficult circumstances, such as unsatisfactory job or financial problem. Others argue that we need to enhance our self in such misadventure position. This essay will dicuss both these view, but i believe that people should try to make positive changes in our live.

On the one hand, accepting a difficult situation can be sensible when people have limited choices. A person who have financial responsibility may not have to leave unsatisfacotry job because he need daily income to feed his family. For example, individuals accepting this situation temporily can provide stability prevent further financial obstacle. Moreover, some difffulties are beyond from indviduals control, so accepting them can help people unnecessary stress and dissopintment.

On the other hand, trying to improve a bad situation can create oppourtnity in the long term. If people are unhappy with their job, they can develop new skills, gain qualifation or search for a new employment. In contrast, individuals who face finncial challenges may reduce their unnecessary spending or find additional source of income. Taking such action can gradually improve their living condition and give them grater comfidence. An employee who dissatisfied with their wages and gain valuable skills and apply for a well paid job.

In my opinion, people should not simply accept an unatisfactory where employee have zero value there are relastic way to find other employment. If people need to do something in life for their family, the need to learn how to handle such scenario whith this aaproach they can achieve anything.

In conclusion, accepting adversity can provide sometime stability especially when there is no other choice. For my perespective, making resonable efforts in such obstacles is generally a more productive approach for long term personal and financial conditions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views required by the prompt, discussing the reasons for accepting difficult situations as well as the benefits of trying to improve them, and clearly states the writer's opinion. The ideas are generally relevant and extended, such as discussing job dissatisfaction and financial constraints. However, there are some under-developed arguments and minor lapses in task focus due to vocabulary issues and slight circularity in the conclusion. For instance, the discussion on financial responsibility ('A person who have financial responsibility') captures relevant everyday examples, but lacks full depth in exploring the philosophical trade-offs of both views. It satisfies Band 6 descriptors well, addressing all parts of the task with relevant ideas, though some areas remain slightly underdeveloped.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph-by-paragraph structure. Introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion are distinctly separated. Cohesive devices are employed to signal transitions, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, the pronoun referencing becomes slightly confusing in sentences like 'where employee have zero value there are relastic way to find other employment', where logical links are strained by missing relative clauses or punctuation. Paragraphing is utilised appropriately, but internal cohesion lacks the fluidity required for higher bands.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate main ideas about employment and financial hardship. However, there is a noticeable presence of spelling mistakes and lexical inaccuracies throughout the text (e.g., 'conditionl ti acciqure' instead of 'conditional to acquire', 'unsatisfacotry', 'difffulties', 'oppourtnity', 'qualifation', 'finncial', 'unatisfactory', 'whith this aaproach'). Despite these frequent errors, communication is rarely impeded, and the writer does attempt less common items such as 'stability', 'misadventure', and 'financial challenges'. This profile aligns closely with the Band 5 descriptor where noticeable errors exist, though the range is minimally adequate to convey meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional-style framing ('If people are unhappy with their job, they can...') and relative clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'A person who have', 'the need to learn'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing that impacts readability. Punctuation errors are also present, such as run-on sentences ('An employee who dissatisfied with their wages and gain valuable skills and apply for a well paid job'). While complex structures are attempted, they are frequently faulty, placing this response firmly in the Band 5 range for grammar.
