Student answer (Band 5.0)
In todays modern century,People tend to argue with the thought of acceptng a bad situation you are in for instance unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. While some express their oppostion of the thoughts as they belive that it is better to try to improve such situation.I personally prefer the second statement as improving is far batter than giving up.
First and foremost,Improving is one the best qualities human can have, the mindset of always trying be a better version of yourself and excedding your limitations is what makes a great person.I would always choose to improve my situation rather than sit idle and let the bad situtation consume me.People who can push pass their limit, who can withstand the negative environment and still improve are the people who ultimately climb the ladder of success in the upcoming future, for instance,A university of USA conducted an survey where they researched about the uprising entrepreuners where they found out that all these succesful personalities faced alot of bad situations where they fellt like giving up they instead kept on improving which made them whom they are now.
Conversely,Some amount of people still beleive that sometimes it is better to accept the situation which is not totally a deniable.Sometimes it is requied for you to accept defeat, sometimes it is better to just accept the fact and try to move on from that fact even though it haunts you everytime but it may take time yet i am sure trying to improve even though you wanna giveup will surely help you to overcome every bad situation you face.
Lastly,The advantages of improving rather than accepting defeat totally overshadows the advantages of accepting the bad situation is every stage of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views regarding whether to accept a bad situation or try to improve it, and presents a clear personal opinion in the introduction stating that improving is far better. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. The arguments tend to generalise without sufficient concrete elaboration, relying on vague assertions rather than deeply explored examples. For instance, the reference to a university survey in the USA is too generic and lacks specific details. Overall, the task is addressed with a clear position, but the depth of support places this performance at Band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates some organization with distinct paragraphs for each viewpoint and the conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is often hindered by mechanical and faulty cohesive devices, as well as punctuation and spacing errors between sentences and clauses (e.g., missing spaces after commas and periods throughout the text). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical flow between sentences can feel disjointed. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is weak and repetitive, resulting in a score of 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate to communicate basic ideas, but it is often repetitive and limited in range. There are noticeable word choice and spelling errors throughout the essay, such as 'acceptng', 'oppostion', 'belive', 'exedding', 'situtation', and 'entrepreuners'. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'entrepreneurs' and 'overshadows', but inaccurate spelling and collocation issues cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the score from reaching a higher band. Therefore, a score of 5.0 is appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent punctuation errors, particularly missing spaces after punctuation marks and run-on sentences or comma splices, such as 'First and foremost,Improving is one the best qualities human can have, the mindset of always trying be a better version...' Grammatical errors, including missing articles and incorrect verb forms, are common throughout the text and frequently impede readability. Consequently, the grammatical control reflects a Band 5.0 level.
