IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The topic is very interesting because both the topics are most important. some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. This statement is not really true because we should take bad situation as a challenge, if we cannot accept bad situation as a challenge. How can we grow ? How can we fulfill our dreams?

Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. This statement is really true because if we try and accept challege we become motivate and believe in ourself and try to work hard. Challenges, bad situation, unsatisfactory job and shortage of money are a part of human struggle. If we accept all these challenges we choose a better and satisfactory life.

From my experience i would like to describe my own view that all the problems are a part of life. If we sad all the time, demotivate and accept the bad situation, how can we fulfill our dreams, how can we accept the reality. Many billionaries prove that if they do not accept bad situation as a challenge then they are not become the billionaries.

Many scientists also faced problems for example Thomas Alva Edison who invented bulb are facing too much problems. The school teachers not admitted Thomas. But all of these problems they work hard. His mother motivated all the time help him to achieve his goal. If his school teachers accepted and his mother not motivated him. He could not accepted the bad situation.

So the conculsion is that accept bad situation as a challenge become motivated, work hard and always stay positive in any type of situation.
