IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

What we will do if we face bad situation is highly debated topic. It is claimed that we have to accept the the tough circumstance like unsatisfactory jod or money problems and do nothing. Some people argued that we have to face the problem, it is better to try and improve such situation. My opinion, to faced the diffculty with propes plan is the excellent way deal with any situation. In this eassy, I will focus on the argument that support the statement, before those that against.

On the one hand, there are valid arguments for accepting difficult situations. Proponents of this view often point out that constantly fighting circumstances can lead to stress, depression and unhappiness. In certain cultural traditions, accepting reality as it is help the person to get inner peace. For instance, a individual is trapped in a unsatisfactory jod during the economic recession and getting new employment is scarce, accepting the reality help the person to find the happiness outside the work.

On the other hand, many argued that the trying to improved the situation is more essential than to accept it. Throughout the history, progress had been driven from people who refuge to accept the conditions. For example, a individual faced the lack of money problem. They changed their income by making strict budget and in part-time they getting new skill like they learnt online trading course or any other according his taste and need. This active approach can slove his finicial problem after the time.

In conclusion, people beleive that best way is ti accept the situation and other say try to improve such situation is better. From my perspective, trying to solve the problem is the best way to deal the problem.
