Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response attempts to address both views and provide an opinion, but it falls short of fully developing the ideas due to significant linguistic barriers and under-length writing. The Length Check authoritatively notes that the response contains only 233 words, failing the 250-word minimum requirement. Consequently, a penalty has been applied to Task Achievement. While the writer mentions both accepting a bad situation and trying to improve it, the arguments are frequently obscured by unclear phrasing, such as 'acceptance bad job that's reason trying improve'. The position is discernible, but the ideas are underdeveloped and repetitive. This corresponds to a Band 4.5 level of task fulfillment, rounded to 4.5 based on the limited development and word count shortfall.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response is divided into paragraphs, but the overall organization and logical progression are severely disrupted by fragmented sentences and weak cohesive ties. Phrases such as 'First of all', 'Moreover', and 'In addition' are used, but they fail to connect ideas smoothly because the underlying sentences lack grammatical completeness and clear semantic links. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is faulty and mechanical. For instance, the transition from discussing job acceptance to building confidence feels abrupt and disjointed. Referencing is often unclear, such as 'that's reason trying improve'. Overall, the organization lacks a clear, logical progression throughout, fitting the Band 4 descriptors.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The lexical resource is basic and repetitive, with frequent word choice and collocation errors that often strain the reader. The writer relies heavily on simple words and produces awkward collocations, such as 'save of money' instead of 'shortage of money' or savings, 'serveral situation' instead of several situations, and 'pratical stable' instead of practical stability. Attempts to use more advanced vocabulary, such as 'unemployed', 'confidence', and 'motivation', are undermined by incorrect grammatical forms like 'enhence confidence' or 'improcing own self'. Errors in word formation and spelling are frequent and impede communication in multiple places, aligning the response with Band 4.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The grammatical range is very limited, consisting mostly of simple and attempted complex sentences that are heavily flawed. There is a persistent lack of control over basic clause structures, subject-verb agreement, and verb tenses. Examples include 'There are bring happier and more claim and relax', 'Because they just need any experience and improcing own self that's acceptance this type of job', and 'To conclusion, acceptance bad job is improve'. Errors are frequent throughout the text, often distorting the meaning and making large portions of the essay very difficult to understand. This performance matches the official descriptors for Band 4.0, where errors are frequent and pervasive.
