Student answer (Band 5.0)
So when the people have not much money or when they have not a good job then some of the people decided to accept that situation like they are not try to find the problems and solutions. They are not think that if we are not give up we will find the solutions and we will be see ourself on the stage where we have everything. They are give up and not be able to try anythin else. But some of the people are never give up and try many times to get the answers where they are weak and they definitely find the point and get the more opportunities. They are working hard and still try again and again to improve such situations and still waiting for the best time then they get the best optione fot themselves. I think so that these types of the people are best in their life because they are not run to see the situation and accept the bad situations and try their best for get the best. I personally knows one of the person who's living in my neabour and he's failed many time for getting good jobs but he's still applied in the good compinies and with that also worked as a waiter in the restaurant, after some time he's got the email from an international company to joining them as a supervisor and then he's was very happy. It's mean that his hard working and believes comes with a stunning time for him.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the task by discussing the views of accepting a bad situation versus trying to improve it, and the student provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the explanation of why people give up or keep trying relies on basic generalisations rather than deeply extended arguments. The personal example regarding the neighbour adds some relevance, but it is rather simplistic in its execution. The response covers all parts of the prompt adequately, earning a band score of 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay lacks proper paragraphing, presented instead as a single large block of text, which severely hinders the logical flow and visual organisation. Cohesive devices are repetitive and basic, relying heavily on conjunctions like 'and', 'but', and 'then' to link clauses. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'These types of the people are best in their life because they are not run to see the situation'. While there is a basic progression from discussing both views to presenting a personal example, the lack of structural separation and limited cohesive tools keep this criterion at a band score of 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is quite basic and repetitive throughout the essay. The student frequently repeats phrases like 'bad situations', 'try', and 'good jobs'. There are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'optione', 'compinies', 'stunning time', and 'believes comes'. Attempts to use less common vocabulary are unsuccessful due to inaccuracies in form and spelling. Although the meaning can generally be understood, the restricted range and frequent lexical errors place this response firmly in the band 5.0 category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The grammatical range is very limited, consisting predominantly of simple and frequently faulty complex sentence structures. There are persistent and basic grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense inconsistencies, missing auxiliary verbs, and incorrect subject-verb agreement, such as 'when the people have not much money', 'they are not try', 'he's failed many time', and 'he's was very happy'. Punctuation is also weak, marked by run-on sentences connected excessively with coordinating conjunctions. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a band 4.5 performance, rounded to 5.0.
