Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued by some people that it is better to accept the poor situation, like shortage of money and unsatisfactory work for mental health. Meanwhile, other argue that it is best to improve this situation and try for better future. However, I believe that it is better to try and improve over situation for improvement of family situation.
On the one hand, supporters of the accept bad situation believe it is best for mental health. As their accept the bad situation their should not get more stress and their mental health are maintain. Take an example, the people of Japan, spent their life with good both mental and physical health. Thus, the supporters of this views support their findings back their analysis with valid argument.
While on the other hand, the advocate of the view that try to improve their situation believe that it is good for better future. As if their successfully improve they situation than they get lot of money. For instance, a survey conduct in China, most of the people said it is best to try and improve their situation for better future. Hence, this view also seems to carry a lot weightage.
However, I believe that it is best to try and improve over situation for improvement of over family situation. As their improve over situation they also help over family.
To sum up, even though it is best to accept the bad situation, but I believe that it is better to try and improve such situation for improvement of family situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that accepting a bad situation benefits mental health and that trying to improve it leads to a better future—while also providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive, particularly in the body paragraphs and conclusion where the reasoning relies heavily on circular phrasing rather than deep elaboration. For instance, the discussion on mental health in Japan and the survey in China are stated too briefly without concrete explanation. While the main ideas are relevant and the position is clear throughout, the lack of fully extended supporting points places this response firmly at Band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text is structured into an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, a personal opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is attempted, though some paragraphs are extremely brief, consisting of only one or two sentences. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'While on the other hand', 'However', and 'To sum up' are used to signal the structure of the essay, but referencing and cohesion are frequently faulty. For example, expressions like 'As their accept the bad situation' and 'improve over situation' create confusion in logical progression. Overall, there is some organisation, but the mechanical and inaccurate use of cohesive ties prevents a higher score, justifying Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and restricted to simple everyday language. The student frequently misuses words and grammatical forms of words, such as 'poor situation', 'accept bad situation', 'over situation' instead of 'our situation', and 'lot weightage'. Words are repeated extensively throughout the text, including terms like 'situation', 'improve', and 'better future'. Although the meaning can generally be extracted, the noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, along with a severely limited lexical range, align with the Band 5 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex sentences are almost entirely flawed by frequent basic errors in subject-verb agreement, pronoun usage, and verb forms. Examples include 'As their accept the bad situation their should not get more stress', 'if their successfully improve they situation than they get lot of money', and 'As their improve over situation they also help over family'. These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader and obscure the precise meaning of the sentences, which is characteristic of Band 4.
