Student answer (Band 5.0)

To begin with, there are people who believe that its best to accept a bad situiation such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money and there are also people who thinks its better to try and improve such situations .

Firstly lets discuss the point of view of people who thinks its fine to accept situations like unsatisfactory job , a person who is not satisfied with their job and has no passion for the job but still continuious to work will eventually lead to a disasterous life , and might also compare themselves to people who are doing really great and that will lead them nowhere but to the same loop again.

secondly lets discuss now the point of view of people who thinks its better to try and imrpove such situations like shortage of money, well there are majority of the people who would imrove those situatuions by joining side hustles like freelance, video editing , and online tutoring , majority of the people do these to earn extra money and have satisfied themselves in many ways, also experiencing new things

Personally i have experienced the shortage of money while doing a corporate job for 10 years and i was not satisfied by my salary so i started doing side hustles, there were two main side hustles i was doing firstly it was "freelancing" and "video editings" for big companies and tv shows also small brands and i was paid enough, and i honestly i was very much satisfied

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response attempts to address both views as required by the prompt, discussing both the acceptance of a bad situation and the active improvement of it. The student also provides a personal opinion and a relevant personal example. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial and circular. For instance, the paragraph discussing the acceptance of a bad job states that it will 'lead to a disasterous life,' but does not fully explain why or how this occurs beyond comparing oneself to others. Additionally, the instruction asks to discuss both views and give your own opinion, but the structure merges the second view directly into a combined discussion and personal anecdote without clear separation. Overall, the task is addressed partially, aligning with Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text suffers from significant structural and mechanical issues regarding coherence and cohesion. The essay is presented in an unconventional layout, lacking proper paragraph breaks for distinct ideas; the second view, the discussion, and the personal experience are awkwardly lumped together or poorly delineated. Furthermore, cohesive devices are weak, repetitive, or misused, relying heavily on informal introductory phrases like 'To begin with,' 'Firstly lets discuss,' and 'secondly lets discuss now.' There is a lack of smooth transitions between sentences, making the progression difficult to follow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, pulling the overall organisational score down to a Band 4.5, which rounds to 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student demonstrates a limited, basic vocabulary range with noticeable errors in word choice and spelling throughout the response. Examples of lexical errors and misspellings include 'situiation,' 'disasterous,' 'imrpove,' 'situatuions,' and 'editings.' While the writer does attempt some less common vocabulary such as 'side hustles' and 'freelance,' the frequent spelling errors and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'have satisfied themselves in many ways') cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the lexical score to a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical range is quite limited, consisting mostly of lengthy, run-on complex sentences joined by coordinating conjunctions or relative pronouns without adequate punctuation. For example, sentences such as 'firstly lets discuss the point of view of people who thinks its fine to accept situations like unsatisfactory job , a person who is not satisfied with their job and has no passion for the job but still continuious to work will eventually lead to a disasterous life' demonstrate a lack of control over sentence boundaries and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people who thinks,' 'continuious'). Punctuation is frequently misused, with missing apostrophes ('its'), improper spacing around commas, and missing capitalization. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader, placing the grammar at a Band 5.0.
