Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to address both views regarding accepting a bad situation versus trying to improve it, while also offering a personal perspective. However, the development of ideas is severely hindered by major language barriers, making it difficult to fully grasp the arguments. While the writer touches upon unemployment, financial difficulties, and the importance of resilience, the points are repetitive and lack clear extension or support. The examples provided, such as 'Ali is a software engineer' and 'Sami had faced a so many difficulty', are underdeveloped and do not sufficiently substantiate the claims. Consequently, the response only partially satisfies the task requirements, aligning best with Band 4.0 descriptors due to the limited and unclear development of ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The essay is divided into four paragraphs, showing an attempt at a standard essay structure. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by broken syntax and confusing transitions. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as 'Beyond this' and 'whenever, they don't give up this time'. Paragraphing is present, but the internal organisation of ideas within paragraphs is disjointed, making it hard to follow the writer's line of thought. Pronoun referencing is also frequently unclear, as seen with shifting pronouns like 'he' and 'they' referring to the same subjects. Overall, the structural and cohesive weaknesses significantly impede readability, placing the response at Band 4.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used throughout the essay is very basic, repetitive, and often misused. Words are frequently used in incorrect word forms or inappropriate contexts, such as 'acceptance people', 'feeses on colleges', and 'home expensives'. Spelling and word-choice errors occur constantly, including 'sucessful', 'kepp', and 'situtaion'. While the writer attempts to use some less common words like 'unemployment' and 'engineer', the pervasive errors in collocation and lexical control strain the reader and obscure meaning. This level of lexical control corresponds to a Band 4.0, as the vocabulary is insufficient and basic errors are frequent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the text. The response consists almost entirely of flawed sentence structures, run-on sentences, and basic clauses strung together with conjunctions. There is a complete lack of accurate complex structures, and fundamental grammar rules—such as subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and prepositions—are violated in almost every sentence. Examples include 'he successul', 'many people to go companies they rejected so they depressed', and 'he change myself also work hard'. Errors are so frequent and severe that they constantly distort meaning and cause significant difficulty for the reader. This performance aligns firmly with Band 3.5 or 4.0; a score of 4.0 is awarded as some basic communication of ideas is ultimately attempted.
