Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is a widespread belief that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory employment or a lack of finances. while other individual's are working hard to improve their situations. it's entirely depends upon the person's judgement or their perspective about life.

Firstly, let's have a look on that natives who are unsatisfied from their nature of work. for instance, in recent time students are doing odd jobs just to meet their daily expenses, by doing this they are not well satisfied but, they are doing just for the factor which is money by which, they somehow managing their lifestyle. However, they should start a startup from loans which are the topic of discussion nowadays, provided by the state department to the deserving students or natives.

On the other hand, numerous people has opposite views, rather their accepting that worst situation, they are working hard and improving their skills to lift up their income, upbringing, and lifestyle. From my opinion I would also prefer to work hard, not cursing over about the situation which is improved by focusing on it. for instance, natives from underprivileged areas are working efficiently and trying their best to get rid of poverty rather then, accepting the fact that they are born poor and they are not able to earn well.

To conclude, I believe that accepting the worst situation either it's unsatisfied job or having the shortage of money is not a wise decision. working hard to get out of that situation is way more better then cursing over that situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on whether to accept or improve difficult life situations and provides a personal opinion, which helps fulfill the basic requirements of the task. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, when discussing students doing odd jobs, the explanation shifts abruptly to starting a business with loans, which lacks clear extension and logical follow-through. Similarly, the personal opinion and the supporting example regarding underprivileged areas remain general and lack specific elaboration. The position is evident throughout the writing, but the overall depth of exploration keeps the response at this level, as it touches upon the required elements without fully expanding them into well-supported arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation present, with distinct paragraph breaks dividing the introduction, body points, and conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression across the text. The transitions between sentences and ideas feel mechanical and abrupt, such as the sudden shift from discussing low-paying jobs to state department loans using the phrase 'However, they should start a startup'. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'by doing this they are not well satisfied but, they are doing just for the factor which is money by which, they somehow managing their lifestyle'. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or awkwardly placed, which disrupts the natural flow and logical sequence of the argument throughout the essay.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to communicate the basic argument. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and collocation that occasionally cause difficulty or hesitation for the reader. For instance, phrases such as 'unsatisfactory employment or a lack of finances', 'other individual's', and 'cursing over about the situation' demonstrate awkward phrasing and incorrect use of apostrophes or prepositions. Attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'underprivileged areas' and 'efficiently', are mixed with persistent lexical inaccuracies like 'start a startup' and 'lift up their income'. Spelling is generally acceptable, but the overall lexical range restricts the precision and natural flow of ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text displays a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on basic patterns with frequent punctuation errors, such as comma splices and incorrect sentence boundary placements (e.g., lowercase letters starting new sentences after periods, as in 'situations. it's entirely depends'). When the writer attempts complex sentences, they are often faulty, as seen in subject-verb agreement errors like 'it's entirely depends' and awkward clause attachments such as 'by doing this they are not well satisfied but, they are doing just for the factor which is money by which, they somehow managing their lifestyle'. Frequent errors in articles, prepositions within grammatical patterns, and tense consistency occur throughout the response, which causes some difficulty and requires the reader to decode the meaning.
