Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people are facing many problems such as shortage of money and unemployment. Many people believe that we should accept all situations. However one section of society argues that we should try to improve the situation. I strongly believe that to tackle such problems we should try atleast.
On the one hand, accept bad situations can be a cause of health issues. To elaborate, many people are facing health issues due to unsatisfactory jobs and unemployment because they have responsibilties to take care of their families. They prefered to accept the siituations instead of imrove them but it is affecting their peace of mind and getting health problems like mental and physical health issues. Moreover, accept a bad situation can affect relationships. To explain, many individuals engaged in relationships but they are not serious towards such relationships it can lead misunderstanding between them, instead of clear misunderstanding they prefer to seperating, while many relationships are breaking due financial conditions.
On the other hand, to improve such situations can be beneficial for individuals such as they can larn new skills. To elaborate, if people will try to improve, like they can find new jobs which are satisfied for them they can learn new skills. For exapmle, they will meet new collegues and a better environment, so they can learn from others. like communication skill will improve. Furthermore, healthy relationships will built because due to shortage of money family relationships becoming worst and through improvement elationships also will be beter.
Thus it can be concluded that accept bad situations can be a cause of mmany problems like health issues, while through improvment individuals can get better opportunities to work with a better environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—accepting a bad situation versus trying to improve it—and states a clear personal opinion. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, while the student mentions that accepting bad situations causes health issues, the explanation relies on repetitive phrasing and lacks specific examples or logical extension. Similarly, the arguments for improving situations are introduced with basic reasoning, such as learning new skills or meeting new colleagues, but these points are not fully explored. The position is visible throughout the text, but the development of supporting arguments remains basic, placing the task response at this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
There is a coherent overall arrangement to the essay, and the writer uses clear paragraphing to separate the introduction, the two body paragraphs discussing opposing views, and the conclusion. However, the cohesion often feels mechanical and repetitive, relying heavily on formulas like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To elaborate'. Furthermore, referencing and transitional links are occasionally faulty, such as in the sentence 'Moreover, accept a bad situation can affect relationships', where the connection between clauses lacks smooth integration. While the text progresses logically from one idea to the next, the limited and repetitive use of cohesive devices prevents it from reaching a higher level.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common items such as 'unemployment', 'responsibilities', and 'opportunities', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in word form, choice, and spelling. Examples of lexical issues include 'accept' instead of 'accepting', 'imrove' instead of 'improve', 'siituations', 'prefered', 'seperating', 'larn', 'collegues', and 'elationships'. These word-choice and spelling errors are frequent enough to cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the range of vocabulary to a basic level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex forms. These attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, containing persistent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions within grammatical patterns. For instance, the phrase 'accept bad situations can be a cause' uses an uninflected verb form as a subject, and 'if people will try to improve, like they can find new jobs which are satisfied for them' shows faulty clause structuring and incorrect adjective forms. Frequent errors in grammar and punctuation appear throughout the text, occasionally causing difficulty for the reader.
