Student answer (Band 6.0)
People have contrasting mindsets when it comes to accepting a difficult situation. Some argue that it is good to accept an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money, while others beleive it is better to enhance such situations. This essay will discuss both point of views in detail with appropriate examples and in the end I will present my own opinion.
On the one hand, people always want to get a job in which they feel comfortable and can complete tasks within their own decided timelines. This practice introduce many problems. For instance, it bring lack of knowledge and expertise needed for the industry to operate. So accepting jobs outside of their choice not only learn them current job needs but also allow them to stand easily in the current job market. Additionally, when people face shortage of money they can understand the gaps they are currently assicoated with and can bring more ideas and ways to earn more money.
On the other hand, people want to mitigate these problems because they beleive facing with these situations are not easy. For example, a person who get a job outside of his choice often feel uncomfortable and cannot compete with the market but if a person get a job he loves then he can work easily, understand the requirements clearly, and can perform tasks consistently. Getting a satisfactory job is easy to perform instead of unsatisfactory one. Additionally, facing with short of money is hard because when a person is dealing with money problems often get ill resulting shortage of medicines and treatment needed.
In my opinion, people should get jobs un-related to their choices because they can improve themselves and perform better in the fast moving industry. Moreover, a person who is dealing with shortage of money can bring better ideas to earn money from different sources instead of bounding himself to a single source only.
Overall, getting unsatisfactory jabs and money problems has their own benefits and drawbacks but whenever people do jobs outside of their choices often learn complicated challanges and can perform better. Also, they can get multiple paths to earn money and produce revenue whenever they deal with money problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—accepting difficult situations versus attempting to improve them—and includes the writer's own opinion in the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and uneven, reflecting a partial treatment of the prompt. For instance, the argument in the second paragraph that accepting an unsatisfactory job 'introduce many problems' and 'bring lack of knowledge' is unclear and contradictory. Similarly, the reasoning shifts abruptly between paragraphs, making the writer's stance on whether accepting or changing a job is better occasionally confusing. To reach the next level, the ideas need to be extended more clearly and supported with more logical, coherent explanations that directly address why people choose to accept or improve adverse conditions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, utilizing standard organizational signposts such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In my opinion' to guide the reader through the structure. However, cohesion at the sentence level is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, referencing and transitional links like 'This practice introduce many problems' or 'Additionally, when people face shortage of money they can understand the gaps' create awkward transitions between thoughts. While information is logically sequenced overall, the progression within paragraphs occasionally falters due to unclear pronoun referencing and repetitive sentence openings. To achieve a higher band, the writer must ensure that cohesive devices connect ideas more smoothly and naturally without relying on mechanical transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating a minimally sufficient range to discuss the topic of employment and financial difficulties. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'contrasting mindsets', 'fast moving industry', and 'mitigate these problems', but these attempts are frequently marred by inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and form. Examples include spelling errors like 'beleive', morphological errors like 'un-related', and awkward collocations such as 'getting unsatisfactory jabs' (jobs) and 'facing with short of money'. These lexical slips and spelling mistakes are noticeable, though they do not entirely impede communication. To improve, the writer needs to expand their control of word choice and ensure accurate spelling and word forms for less common items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but the range of structures is limited and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors involving subject-verb agreement, verb forms, and prepositions inside grammatical patterns. For instance, the writer writes 'practice introduce' instead of 'practices introduce', 'it bring' instead of 'it brings', and 'not only learn them current job needs' which misuses the verb 'learn'. Furthermore, issues with articles and prepositions persist throughout the text, such as 'facing with short of money'. While these errors rarely completely obscure the meaning, they occur with enough frequency to cause occasional difficulty for the reader. To move up, the writer should focus on improving accuracy in basic grammatical structures and complex clauses.
