Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task partially by attempting to discuss both views regarding accepting or improving difficult life situations and providing a personal perspective. However, the ideas remain limited and under-developed throughout the essay. While the writer outlines the notion of building mental resilience through hardship and the future convenience of striving for stability, these arguments lack sufficient explanation and relevant support. The position is stated in the introduction and conclusion, but the reasoning is disjointed and does not fully explore the complexities of the prompt, resulting in an underdeveloped treatment of the subject matter.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organization evident through the division into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding remark, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. Paragraphing is attempted, yet the internal flow of ideas is frequently disrupted. Cohesive devices are used inadequately and sometimes inaccurately, such as the awkward transitional phrases 'At commence' and 'On the other hand, significant peoples things its will doing try to stability'. Furthermore, referencing and pronoun use are often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical development of the argument from one sentence to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate for addressing the prompt. The text contains numerous noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form that frequently cause difficulty for the reader and impede smooth communication. Examples of awkward phrasing include 'bad cicumstances', 'money earning sources', 'mind strong mentality', and 'brave guy'. Additionally, spelling and word formation issues are prevalent, such as 'discus', 'openion', 'instituation', 'auccessfuly', and 'joirney', reflecting a restricted lexical repertoire that struggles to convey precise meanings.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writer employs a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside poorly controlled attempts at complex forms. Frequent errors are present across basic grammar, articles, prepositions, and verb tenses, which can cause significant difficulty for the reader in understanding the intended meaning. Examples of structural and agreement errors include 'we have accepted the bad cicumstances in life when we have a shortage of money, and critical situations', 'If we have not money earning sources', and 'they are have a experience how can treat the and face the situations'. Punctuation and capitalization are also erratic throughout the text.
