Student answer (Band 5.5)

We have two different view to discuss first which is some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation , such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money and second view is that it is better to try and improve such situations.lets discuss the first view,if some people think that they should accept the situation so there will some personal reason or some difficult situation from which they couldn't get out.it could be financial issue, family issue, or it can be some other. If there is no reason it means that these people doeesn't care about there life or they only depanded on their fortune. They don't want to work hard or don't want to try something new in thier life.If people accept the job that they doen't satisfy them then it can because they don't have any other work to do or not any other way to earn money. They can do only that job to earn for their families and to feed them so it can also wa reason to accept the unsastisfactory job.Now lets see the second view.People who are arguing to the first view is not wrong, they think that we should not be fully depanded to our fortune or god, we should work hard for earning and not to accept the bad situation, we should try to get out of the bad situations. If we have unsatisfactory job then we should take risk and try to learn satisfying skill for work and to earn.when we will get expert in it we can get good job which can help to earn more money.

On my opinion second view is good for life of any person that we should not accept the bad situation and try to improve such bad situation. There is an example of from my own life experieance, i got failed in 12th sci i tried to pass it again and give retest but i got failed again i got very depressed an leave the hope that i can do any thing in my life, but because of my family they supported me and i went to learn different course accounting which is totaly different from science but i got success in it and earning good with that skill.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on accepting versus improving a bad situation, and the writer provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the arguments regarding why people accept a bad job focus heavily on basic survival and financial necessity without exploring broader psychological or social factors. Similarly, the support for the opposing view is somewhat generalized and lacks depth. While the personal example in the second paragraph attempts to illustrate the writer's position, the overall execution remains restricted and partially under-developed, fitting the profile where ideas are presented but not fully extended throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays some overall organization with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs discussing both views, and a conclusion containing the writer's opinion. However, there is no clear progression of ideas overall, and the logical flow is frequently disrupted. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical and repetitive manner, notably with phrases like 'lets discuss the first view' and 'Now lets see the second view'. Paragraphing is also an issue, as the entire second body paragraph and the conclusion are crammed into a single block of text without proper structural separation, which makes the referencing and overall arrangement harder to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'depanded' and 'unsastisfactory', but these lead to frequent spelling mistakes and word form inaccuracies. There is also heavy repetition of basic words and phrases throughout the text, including 'bad situation', 'job', and 'earn money'. Collocation control is weak, seen in expressions like 'leave the hope' instead of 'lose hope', and the restricted range prevents the writer from conveying precise shades of meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences joined together with commas or basic conjunctions. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to run-on sentences and punctuation errors, such as missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences and improper spacing around commas and periods. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, and subject-verb agreement, such as 'people doeesn't care' and 'i got failed'. These persistent grammatical inaccuracies cause strain for the reader and reflect a restricted control over sentence grammar.
