Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
First, it must be noted that the response contains only 88 words, which falls significantly short of the 250-word minimum requirement for this task. Regarding the content, the essay only partially addresses the task. It attempts to discuss both views regarding bad situations and trying to improve them, but the ideas remain very limited and under-developed. For instance, the mention of farmers and students is introduced abruptly without clear explanation or connection to the prompt, and a clear, consistent personal position is not properly maintained throughout the short text.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response shows some basic organization, but there is no clear overall progression or logical flow between sentences and paragraphs. While basic cohesive devices such as 'However' and 'therefore' are attempted, their usage is somewhat mechanical and fails to connect ideas smoothly. Furthermore, the paragraphing is underdeveloped, with abrupt shifts from the introduction to the body points without a coherent framework guiding the reader through the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for addressing the basic topic. There are noticeable lexical errors, such as 'satifactory', 'opporttunities', and 'nowadayes', alongside awkward word choices like 'accepted in bad situation' and 'unsatisfactory for job'. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a basic control over spelling and word formation, restricting the range of vocabulary displayed.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The writer demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying on basic sentence patterns. Attempts at more complex structures or expressing ideas are often faulty, as seen in erroneous constructions like 'In currently, in this situation finding...'. There are frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, capitalization, and punctuation that impede clarity and require the reader to decode the intended meaning.
