Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often been the topic of arguement between people, some are in the favour of accepting a bad situation. Whereas some argue that is is better to focus on improving that situation. I strongly believe that people should work on their weakness and try to do it better.

On ther first side, some people are in the favour of accepting a bad situation or weak areas. It simply says that if a person have a bad condition like lower financial or weak relationship bonds then it is better to accepet those circumstances instead of giving fake hope to themselves because it can help them to overcome from that phase. For instance, i conducted a survey last year in local area and found that 80 percent of people nowadays are happy with false and fake hopes instead of aggering to that situation because they are now habitiual of that thing.

On the other hand, some people believe that it will be good or benificial for the people to work on that phase and try to improve or make it better. It says that if people became busy in working for improving that situation and they can probably come out of negative thoughts and really can do better. If a person is still busy in thinking about that then he cannot be mentally well and cannot make that better. That's why a group of people believe in this statement as well as me.

In conclusion, the essay talks about both the prespectives of people. Both statements are correct and says about the ways to overcome from bad situations. In addition, i am strictly follow the second statement given by people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on how to handle difficult situations and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For example, the argument regarding accepting a bad situation relies on a vague personal survey without clear elaboration, and the discussion on working to improve situations is repetitive, stating simply that it helps avoid negative thoughts. The student's position is present throughout the essay, particularly in the introduction and conclusion, but the reasoning supporting these positions lacks depth, keeping the content at a basic level of exploration.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear four-paragraph structure introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a logical progression of ideas from discussing acceptance to discussing improvement. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and faulty. The student relies on repetitive transitional phrases such as "On ther first side" and "On the other hand," and referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrase "try to do it better" where the pronoun antecedent is ambiguous. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate the distinct ideas, but the overall flow between sentences could be smoother with more varied cohesive devices.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited, providing a minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as "circumstances" and "perspectives," but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and form, such as "arguement," "aggering" instead of agreeing, "habitiual," and "benificial." Furthermore, phrases like "lower financial" instead of financial difficulties and "false and fake hopes" demonstrate a restricted ability to use precise vocabulary, resulting in occasional strain for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay uses a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on basic patterns alongside attempts at complex sentences that are frequently faulty. There are noticeable errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions within grammatical structures throughout the text. Examples include "It is often been the topic," "if a person have," "overcome from that phase," "if people became busy," and "i am strictly follow." These frequent grammatical errors in basic and attempted complex structures cause some difficulty and distraction for the reader.
