Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few people argue that it is better to accept a stressful job or to live with financial problems throughout their life. While other believe that a person should work hard to improve such situations. I agree with the second view due to the fact that everyone should have a clear goals in their life to improve such condition.

On the one hand, this situation can be improved if planned carefully, such as by improving their skill on any particular field. This can have a great impact on finding better job, and also open a gate for many opportunities. By learning any advance skill they can easily cope with financial condition and can help getting their dream job. For example, with the advancement of technology artificial intelligence have replaced a lot of jobs and low skilled workers have to face alot of unemplyoment issues in camparison with the person who can handle these modern automation, can make enough money to spend his life comfortabley.

On the other hand, if a person is motivated they can make things better by proper investment. It may not be helpful in getting rich instantly. But in a long term it wil be benefitial, as developed countries are constantly improving their stock market and if someone who are not interested in any kind of job, or if they have financial problems then this innitiative can definately cover their many difficulties. For an instance if we think about a survey which was done in America between 2011 to 2014, it illustrates that arround 7 million people became millionare by just investing in a big campanies like Amazon, Apple, Ali baba and many more in stock exchange.

Beside this, a job which make you feel useless or demotivated, should not be continued as this can have severe effect on health. It can cause various health issues such as heart attack and brain tumor is on the top of the list. Other then these fatel diseases, some other physological condition might happen for example due to the pressure of that problematic job person can face anxity, depression or even can loss some coagnative abilities.

In concluding these view, i believe that someone life can be changed if proper planning is done just like small investment or working on their skill can make alot of changes unlike those who make their life difficult by relaying on their unsatisfactory job or accepting that they are useless.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on accepting versus improving difficult situations and provides an opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas remains limited and partial. For instance, while the writer mentions upskilling to cope with technological advancements, the supporting example regarding artificial intelligence is somewhat generalized and lacks precise argumentation. Similarly, the argument about investing in the stock market relies on questionable claims about millions of people becoming millionaires, which shifts the focus away from the core task. The position is discernible, but the ideas tend to be repetitive and under-developed, preventing the response from reaching a higher level of task fulfillment.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays some overall organization with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is occasionally disjointed, and the links between paragraphs lack smooth transitions. Cohesive devices are used, but they are sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Beside this' and 'In concluding these view'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, particularly with pronoun usage like 'someone life' and 'their life' where the antecedent becomes blurred. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs suffers from abrupt shifts in topics, such as moving from stock market investments directly into health consequences of a bad job without a transitional bridge.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common lexical items, such as 'advancement of technology', 'coagnative abilities', and 'financial condition', but these are often marred by noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and collocation. Examples of spelling and word-choice inaccuracies include 'unemplyoment', 'camparison', 'comfortabley', 'innitiative', 'definitely', 'arround', 'millionare', 'campanies', 'fatel', 'physological', 'anxity', and 'loss' instead of 'lose'. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and restrict the lexical range to a basic level, demonstrating frequent slips in word formation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on a limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors involving subject-verb agreement, plurals, articles, and prepositions. Examples of errors include 'Few people argue' (where 'A few' or 'Some' was intended), 'While other believe', 'everyone should have a clear goals', 'skill on any particular field', 'artificial intelligence have', 'worker have to face', 'someone who are not interested', 'a job which make you feel', and 'i believe that someone life can be changed'. Punctuation errors also persist throughout the text. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader in multiple places.
