Student answer (Band 5.0)
People have different views about whether it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money whereas others thinks that it is better to try and improve bad situations. This essay will discuss both perspectives and I believe that improving an unsatisfactory situations instead of accepting bad situations.
To begin with, supporters of the view argue that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. This is beacuse alot of competation is running across the world to crack their dream satisfactory job. Due to this the income is very less, for emplopyment people need to live in metropoliten cities. Living in cities is expensive because of this shortage of money occur in life. For example, cost of living in cities like hydrabad for a family was around 50,000 per month, in this situation job is a basic income. So working in a irrelevent carrer path is best way to accept. Therefore, accepting a bad situation is best solution in such cases.
On the other hand, other believe that it is better to try and improve such situations. This is because we can try for applying multiple job application when the openings are available and try to find out less expensive accommodation and other essential needs. For instance, working as a part time employee in intrested field can improve the satisfaction levels and income. As a result, finding better ways can improve the bad situations. I personally believe that searching for better options and improving skills needed for better roles is good idea.
In conclusion, although accepting a bad situation is a best way. I believe that trying to improve bad situations, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money is more convincing because there are multiple ways to get better in modern world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
It is important to note first that the response is slightly under the word count, containing 248 words compared to the minimum requirement of 250 words (with 62 words copied directly from the prompt excluded from the count). Regarding content, the essay addresses the task only partially. While it discusses both views and provides a personal opinion, the ideas are limited and under-developed. For example, the argument regarding accepting a bad job due to competition quickly shifts into a confusing point about living costs in metropolitan cities without fully explaining why accepting unsatisfactory conditions is advantageous. Similarly, the supporting points remain somewhat repetitive and lack deep elaboration, preventing the response from reaching a higher level of task fulfillment.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay presents some organisation with basic paragraphing and clear transitional phrases such as 'To begin with,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In conclusion.' However, there is no clear overall progression throughout the essay. The logical flow is occasionally disrupted by abrupt shifts in ideas, such as moving from job competition directly to urban living costs and a specific example about Hyderabad without a smooth bridge. Furthermore, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or repetitive, and referencing can become slightly unclear, meaning the overall logical structure feels disjointed in places.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The writer uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task. There are noticeable lexical errors, such as spelling mistakes ('beacuse', 'competation', 'emplopyment', 'metropoliten', 'hydrabad', 'irrelevent', 'intrested'), word form issues ('unsatisfactory situations' instead of 'situation'), and awkward collocations ('working in a irrelevent carrer path'). These errors and restricted vocabulary range cause some difficulty for the reader and show that the writer struggles to use less common lexical items accurately or flexibly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple or faulty complex constructions. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('other believe', 'shortage of money occur'), article usage ('the income is very less', 'best way'), and prepositions. For instance, sentences like 'This is beacuse alot of competation is running across the world to crack their dream satisfactory job' contain multiple structural and agreement issues. These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader and restrict the grammatical score.
