Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, It's very common situation to not get job that you want to work with because across the world there is so much competition in some fields such as tech, this companies have shortage for jobs therefor people were not found easily. In such a case there are two type of people we found, one who want that job at any cost and other who just giveup easily and don't try.

First, there is a person who has desire to gain this oppurtunity. He will take every challange that comes in his path and move further. He doesn't see that it's tough to getting in large foundation. For example, the microsoft is hiring new staff for a single employe. Now, to take this oppurtunity there are thousand of people were apply for this. The person whose desire is to getting this job he will do every thing to took this job and he does not see that their is only one recruitment.

In other hand, there is a person who try for a job interview and fail than he eventually giveup for that and don't take any action for his future. If he doesn't have any jobthen he face huge consequences for money. In short they just accept this bad situation and donesn't want to take next step.

In conclusion, i would say that we have to try our best to gain any position that twe want and we have to achieve it in any cost. In ths situation we don't accept the situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views regarding accepting or fighting against a bad situation and provides a personal opinion, which places it within the mid-range of task achievement. However, the task is only partially covered because the ideas remain quite limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion about the person who fights for a job is repetitive and focuses heavily on vague assertions rather than deeply exploring the rationale behind why individuals choose this path. Similarly, the alternative perspective about giving up lacks sufficient expansion and relies on simplistic examples. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to extend each main idea with more substantive explanations, specific real-world consequences, and fully articulated arguments supporting both sides before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays a basic, recognizable overall arrangement with clear attempts at paragraphing and introduction of main points using transitional markers like 'First' and 'In conclusion'. Nonetheless, the progression of ideas is often disjointed, resulting in a lack of clear overall flow between sentences. Cohesive devices are sometimes repetitive, inaccurate, or awkwardly applied, such as 'In other hand' instead of 'On the other hand'. Additionally, referencing and pronoun use can be confusing, making the connections between sentences occasionally obscure. To achieve a stronger standard of cohesion, the writer should employ a wider and more accurate variety of linking words, ensure smoother logical transitions between paragraphs, and maintain consistent pronoun reference throughout the text.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary utilized is minimally adequate for addressing the topic, but it remains limited in range and flexibility. The writer attempts some less common phrasing, such as 'consequences for money' and 'gain this opportunity', but these instances often suffer from noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form, including 'oppurtunity', 'challange', and 'found easily'. These lexical slips and spelling inaccuracies occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader in grasping the exact intended meaning. To elevate the lexical resource score, the writer must expand their active vocabulary by incorporating precise academic terms, mastering standard collocations, and eliminating basic spelling mistakes through careful proofreading.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical structures present in the essay are quite restricted, consisting mostly of basic sentences alongside attempts at complex structures that are frequently faulty and poorly controlled. Frequent errors appear across various grammatical categories, including subject-verb agreement, articles, plurals, and tense consistency, as seen in expressions like 'this companies have shortage', 'people were not found easily', and 'thousand of people were apply'. These recurring errors and awkward syntactic patterns create noticeable difficulty for the reader. To progress toward a more proficient grammatical level, the writer needs to practice constructing complex sentences accurately, improve control over verb tenses and auxiliary verbs, and reduce basic mechanical errors in everyday syntax.
