Student answer (Band 5.5)
Any one can be stuck in such bad situation it depends upon the person how he deal with it. Some people may accept it and continue working but some people will try to change the situation and try to make it better for themselves. I am of the opinion that we should try to improve the situation so that we can help others with it and improve not only our but oth lers lives as well.
People who usually accepts these kinds of situations also has some things that they cannot make rash decisions. Sometimes they have to support their family or they have debts to pay off so they do not have any other way or any other opportunity that can support them. For example one of my friend is doing a really tiresome job and cannot quit it because he is the breadwinner of the family and has younger sisters to marry off.
On the other hand their are other people who are trying to change the situation by their hardwork and have succeeded in their goals. For achieving these kinds of results one should be persistent and continue looking for new ways to improve themselves and their situation. For example if some one is stuck in some crappy job situation he should improve his skills and look for another opportunity that is according to their taste.
My opinion is that one should strive for better situations because bad situations can cause a lot of burden on a persons mental health. Can cause stress and other issues which can effect his whole life . An example of this is myself i have moved on from a really unsatisfactory job abd and shortage of money to my own self employment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear personal position: you explain why people may stay in difficult circumstances, then argue that people should try to improve them. The examples of your friend supporting his family and your move into self-employment make the discussion relevant and personal. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The reasons for accepting a bad situation are supported with a specific example, while the case for changing it is mostly general advice about persistence and improving skills. Your final point about mental health is relevant but would be stronger if you explained more clearly how improving circumstances can reduce this burden. Develop each main idea with a fuller explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a concluding statement of your opinion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” help signal the shift between perspectives, and the examples generally appear beside the ideas they support. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The final paragraph begins with your opinion, then uses the fragment “Can cause stress,” before moving to a personal example, so the relationship between these points is not smoothly expressed. Some links are also repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “For example.” Use clearer topic sentences and connect each explanation to its supporting example, while ensuring that the conclusion brings the discussion together.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant expressions such as “breadwinner,” “persistent,” “self employment,” and “mental health.” These choices show some awareness of the topic. However, the range is limited and several informal or imprecise phrases reduce the academic tone, such as “crappy job situation” and “according to their taste.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, including “hardwork,” “abd,” and “effect” where “affect” is intended. Aim for more precise collocations and a consistent formal register. For instance, describe a job as “unsatisfactory” or “low-paid,” and say that an opportunity “matches their skills and interests.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses with “because” and “so that,” and the main meaning is usually understandable. However, errors in agreement, sentence construction, and punctuation occur across the response. Examples include “Some people who usually accepts” and “also has,” where the subject and verbs do not agree, and “Can cause stress,” which is an incomplete sentence. The opening sentence also combines ideas awkwardly: “it depends upon the person how he deal with it.” Review subject–verb agreement, complete sentence structure, and punctuation around linked clauses. Building accurate sentences first, then adding subordinate clauses, will help you express your ideas more clearly.
