Student answer (Band 6.5)

Whether individual think that they should accept difficult circumstances like unsatisfactory job and money shortage, whereas other set of people argue to try and improve those circumstances. I strongly believe that taking proactive measures can help an individual overcome the difficult phases and other circumstances in their life

On the one hand, accepting the bad situation such as low-paying job or temporary financial difficulties can help the individual reduce stress and emotional resilience. Constantly worrying about the unchangable factors can lead to anxiety and burnout. Futhermore, practicing acceptance often allows people to adapt to the reality that may be beyond their immediate control, such as boarder economic downturn. By focusing on contentment rather than frustration, an individual can foster inner peace and make the most in their circumstances.

On the other hand, attempting to improve bad situation can lead to a progress and innovations. Passice acceptance often leads to stagnation, whereas actively seeking solutions encourages an individual development. For instance, an employee unsatisfied with his current job and salary can upskill, network or seek new career path to secure better compensation and fulfillment. Similarly, individual facing financial difficulties can create budget and reduce unneccesary expenses, or pursue additional source of income. Proactive method not only reserves immediate hardship but also teaches every individual about self confidence and self reliance, ensuring that people are better equipped to handle future challenges.

In conclusion, though accepting diificult circumstances can provide short-term peace and prevent unneccesary distress, I firmly believe that taking active steps to retify the bad situation is superior. Striving for improvement foster resilience, opens up new opportunities and enables individual to achieve higher quality of life

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You address both views and maintain a clear position: acceptance may bring short-term peace, but active efforts are ultimately better. The discussion is relevant and supported with examples, particularly the employee who can upskill or seek another job and the person who can budget or find extra income. This gives the response a solid, extended argument. However, some claims remain broad rather than fully explained—for example, acceptance is said to foster “inner peace,” and proactive action to build “self confidence and self reliance,” without showing in detail how these outcomes follow. Develop one or two examples further and clarify when acceptance is sensible but should not become permanent resignation. This would make the reasoning more consistently convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your opinion. “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the examples are placed in the relevant discussion. To strengthen cohesion, make links between individual claims more explicit and avoid relying mainly on standard paragraph-opening transitions. For instance, the move from acceptance reducing stress to adapting to economic conditions could be connected by explaining how acceptance helps people focus on what they can control. The opening sentence is also difficult to follow, which weakens the initial progression. Clearer referencing and smoother links would make the organisation feel more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range for the topic, including terms such as “burnout,” “stagnation,” “upskill,” “compensation,” and “financial difficulties.” These choices help you discuss both emotional effects and practical responses. There are also several inaccurate or unnatural forms that limit precision: “reduce stress and emotional resilience” appears to mean reduce stress and build resilience, while “reserves immediate hardship” likely means alleviates hardship. Spelling errors such as “unchangable,” “Passice,” “unneccesary,” and “diificult” are noticeable, as are phrases such as “a progress” and “new career path.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases. More precise word choice would make the argument sound more natural and assured.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including clauses beginning with “whereas,” “though,” and “such as,” and most sentences communicate the intended point. Some grammatical errors remain. The opening has an incomplete or awkwardly joined contrast (“Whether individual think …, whereas other set of people argue…”); a clearer structure would be “Some individuals believe …, whereas others argue …”. There are also issues with agreement and articles, as in “attempting to improve bad situation can lead to a progress,” and “Striving for improvement foster resilience.” The final sentence would need “fosters” with the singular subject “Striving.” Review subject–verb agreement, article use, and sentence construction, while continuing to practise complex clauses.
