Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some individual thinks that it is good to accept a worse situtation like an unsatisfactory job and money shortage. While others believe that trying to improve such circumstance is better option. I firmly believe that trying to improve such circumstances is better because it gives people confidence to achieve success.

On the one hand, people believe that accepting the worst situtaion in life is better option. It is because accepting the situation can mave people resilient and give them reality check in their life. Facing the situation like unsatisfactory job and unstable financial condition gives a reality check about the person they trust or about the dream they have been seeing. For instance, a friend of mine had started a bussiness seeing a dream of being billinar while going against his family will which is now has been bankrupt. This bankrupt situation has given him a reality check.

On the other hand, others think that trying to improve the worst conbition is great option which is because improving conditons rather than accepting them gives confidence to do hardwork. Doing work to enhance the conditions of own's life provide confidence and strength to do more hardwork to achieve their dream. For instance, people try to improve their financial condition to buy whatever they want and to improve their living conditions which significantly boost their confidence.

In conclusion, some people think that accepting their current condition is great idea. While others believe that doing work to improve their situation is far better option. I firmly believe that improving situations is better option as it boost one's confidence to achieve their dream.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a consistent opinion: accepting hardship may provide a “reality check,” while trying to improve circumstances can build confidence. The examples—a friend whose business went bankrupt and people seeking better finances—are relevant to the discussion. However, the first view is not fully explained: the link between accepting a bad situation and becoming “resilient” is asserted rather than developed, and the business example illustrates failure more clearly than deliberate acceptance. The second view is also supported mainly by a general claim about confidence. To strengthen the response, explain why someone might choose acceptance, such as recognising limits or protecting wellbeing, and develop each example to show how it supports the relevant view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your position. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the discussion. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes mechanical, with repeated references to “situation,” “condition,” and “confidence.” Some links between claims and examples are not fully clear; for instance, the bankrupt business example does not directly show why accepting a bad situation is beneficial. Use more precise referencing and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports. This would make the organisation feel more developed rather than relying mainly on standard transition phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “unsatisfactory job,” “financial condition,” “resilient,” and “reality check,” and the main ideas remain understandable. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “situation,” “condition,” “confidence,” and “improve.” Several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “situtation,” “conbition,” “billinar,” and “mave,” while phrases such as “do hardwork” and “seeing a dream” are not natural collocations. These issues reduce precision and sometimes make the reader pause. Build a more accurate range of topic vocabulary and check spelling, word forms, and common word partnerships before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “While others believe…” and a reason clause beginning “It is because…”. The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “Some individual thinks” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “which is now has been bankrupt” combines incompatible verb structures. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “is better option” should include an article, and the opening “While others believe…” is a fragment when separated from the preceding sentence. Practise forming complete contrast sentences and checking agreement, articles, and verb patterns. More accurate control of these structures would make your ideas easier to follow.
