Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this era a large numbers of people can face difficult situation and some can believe to accept these but on contrary some said it is beneficial to try and change these bad situations. I will disccus the both views and then give my own opinion in paragraphs bellow.

On one hand, people said we may change the the bad finantial conditions with work hard. For example I see many people from poor families worked hard and at the end they achieve their goals. In addition, the life of people is full with difficulties and most of the people are facing difficulties from their early age and their beleive in themself change their situations. The people who are giving up in the front of bad conditions cannot do anything in their life. Furthermore, the parents who can face the bad conditions are expecting from their children to change their life.

On the other hand, some said we just accept the bad condition and do not do anything for changing these situations. They just beleive that for good life it is important that your parents gives you good financial conditions. Morever, they said the person who is brought up in poor family face difficulties for their life and if they work hard it cannot have to much positives impacts on their life so it is good to accept these situations. For example in my country the most success people like buissness man, docters, officers and engineers are those people who are brought up in good conditions.

To conclude, nowdays people are facing bad situations and some can accept it but some are opposite to it and they said we workhard to change our conditions. I personally suggest to try for changing these conditions. We should work hard to acheive our aims.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, especially in the conclusion: “I personally suggest to try for changing these conditions.” Your examples about people from poor families and successful professionals are relevant, but the arguments remain broad and are not sufficiently explained. For instance, the claim that people who give up “cannot do anything in their life” is absolute, while the opposing view is presented mainly as a belief that family wealth determines success. Explain why someone might reasonably accept a situation—for example, limited control or the need to protect their wellbeing—and develop your examples to show how they support each view. This would make the response more complete and the position more consistently reasoned.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “On one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the contrast, and your final paragraph returns to your opinion. However, progression within the body paragraphs is sometimes mechanical: several points are added with “In addition” and “Furthermore” without showing how they connect or which is most important. Some references are also unclear, such as “change these” and “these situations,” because the exact circumstances are not always specified. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain it and give a focused example. More precise linking and referencing would make the argument flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “financial conditions,” “difficulties,” “goals,” and “accept.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy, such as “finantial,” “beleive,” “buissness,” and “acheive.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “in the front of bad conditions” and “to much positives impacts.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall argument, but they make it less fluent. Build a bank of accurate collocations for this topic and check spelling and word forms carefully. Using more precise expressions for hardship, perseverance, and limited opportunities would strengthen the discussion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “who” and “if,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles. For example, “a large numbers of people can face difficult situation” has problems with number and article use, while “their parents gives you good financial conditions” has subject–verb agreement and pronoun inconsistency. The sentence beginning “the person who is brought up in poor family face difficulties” also needs agreement and article corrections. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a subordinate clause, then check singular/plural forms and consistent pronouns. Greater control is needed for complex structures to communicate ideas smoothly.
