Student answer (Band 6.0)
There has been an ongoing debate whether people accept bad situations such as being destitute or any low-income job. A group of individuals believe that we should try hard to improve our financial conditions. This essay will discuss both perspectives before presenting my opinion.
On the one hand, proponents of first condition argue that we should willingly accept circumstances when we find an unsatisfactory occupation instead of doing hard-work. In addition, they easily manage shortage of money and try to depends upon others. Such adults do not give priority to find a high-income job to improve their standard of living. They did not want to leave their comfort zone and spend their life poorly. This mainly occurs because they do not have high qualification and professional skills and may find it difficult to secure well-paid employment. For instance, young adult who do not have enough education may have to work as a shop assistant and cleaner to meet their basic needs. Another reason is shortage of job opportunities. In some countries unemployment is a significant issue so people prefer to earn a small amount of money rather than remain unemployed.
On the other hand, critics contend that youth should work diligently to increase their salary and obtain higher level of education to compete in this modern society. Moreover, individuals seek better job opportunities in order to gain practical experience and promotion. They should choose profession that offers financial stability and high career chances.A particularly good example of this that a person who has great interest in IT can learn programming skills and pursue a career in this field, which may offer a higher salary and better career opportunities. As a result, they can improve their financial situation and enjoy a better standard of living. From my perspective trying and working desperately seems more convincing because it can change financial situation.
In conclusion, both views have their own merits but i believe that people should work hard to secure their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear opinion: you explain why some people accept low-paid work, then argue that improving skills and seeking better employment can improve financial security. The examples of working as a shop assistant or cleaner and learning programming are relevant to the topic. However, the first view is not always explained accurately: saying that people “easily manage shortage of money” and “try to depends upon others” does not clearly show why accepting a difficult situation may be a reasonable choice. The discussion of limited qualifications and unemployment is more convincing, but could be linked more explicitly to acceptance. Your opinion is clear, though “working desperately” is not fully explained. Develop the reasoning behind both positions more evenly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some flexibility in linking ideas. However, connections within paragraphs are occasionally mechanical, and some references are unclear: “first condition” is not a precise reference to the view, while “they” in the first body paragraph could refer to several groups. The conclusion repeats your position without drawing together the main reasoning. Use more precise referencing and make the links between each reason and the paragraph’s main point clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “financial stability,” “professional skills,” “unemployment,” and “career opportunities,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and limit precision. For example, “accept bad situations” is broad, “work desperately” does not naturally express persistent effort, and “high career chances” is an awkward collocation. “High qualification” and “standard of living” also need more natural forms or contexts. These noticeable word-choice and collocation problems fit a limited but adequate range rather than consistently controlled vocabulary. Aim to learn useful phrases in context and check whether verbs and adjectives naturally combine with the nouns you choose.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause (“because they do not have high qualification”) and a relative clause (“a person who has great interest in IT”). Most of the message remains understandable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction recur. Examples include “try to depends,” “they did not want” after a present-tense generalisation, “young adult who do not,” and “a person who has great interest.” The sentence beginning “A particularly good example of this that…” is missing a verb, and “career chances.Career” also needs punctuation and spacing. These issues show that complex structures are attempted but not yet reliably controlled. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, then proofread each sentence for a complete clause.
