Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some individuals have opinion that it is wise to accept a difficult circumstances for example lack of money and unsatisfactory job. While others disagrees that it is better to try and improve certain situations.

In my point of view everything that happens in your life it gives you a certain type of lesson to you and from that lesson you learn and move forward. So the idea that to accept a bad situation such as unwanted job or shortage of money is quiet right because these situations also gives you a valuable lessons and you beome an expereinced individual. For example if you are a fresh graduate you don't have a job or money and not even a experience on which basis anyone can give you a job. So what do you do in this situation you accept it and work even without a pay because it gives you an industry experiecne that how things work there.

The other idea that you thrive for you your better and improved future is also a right idea because you don't have to stay in same position all your life. There are certain types of efforts that you have to make to improve your living standards. For example if you get a job you don't stay or remain in that in position all your life but what do you do you make effort learn from mistakes and thrive for better opportunities. You work hard to get your desired dreams.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss both views and give a personal position, particularly through the examples of a graduate accepting unpaid work and an employee seeking better opportunities. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the first example explains gaining experience, while the second view is supported mainly by general statements about effort and ambition. Your opinion is also not fully clear, since you call both ideas “right” without explaining which you consider preferable or how they can be balanced. The response is 238 words, so it is 12 words below the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop your position explicitly and add specific reasoning or an example for each view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about accepting hardship, and a paragraph about trying to improve one’s circumstances. Examples help readers follow the two sides, and phrases such as “For example” signal support. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined in long, loosely connected sentences, especially the opening of the first body paragraph. The repeated use of “So,” “because,” and “For example” makes linking somewhat mechanical, while “The other idea” is a vague transition. Use clearer topic sentences, divide complex thoughts into manageable sentences, and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “shortage of money,” “living standards,” “fresh graduate,” and “better opportunities.” There are also attempts at more expressive wording, such as “thrive for” and “desired dreams.” However, the range is limited and some choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make the meaning less natural: “thrive for” should be “strive for,” and “industry experience” is more appropriate than “industry experiecne” (with the spelling corrected). Spelling errors such as “beome,” “expereinced,” and “experiecne” are noticeable. Build a more precise range of phrases for discussing financial hardship, career development, and personal choices, and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if you are a fresh graduate” and clauses linked with “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “others disagrees” should be “others disagree,” and “these situations also gives you” should be “these situations also give you.” The sentence “everything that happens in your life it gives you” has an unnecessary repeated subject, while “you beome an expereinced individual” needs a corrected verb form and spelling. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and article use, and punctuate or split long sentences so each clause is clear.
