Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is believed that accepting the problematic condition ,namely unsatisfactory job and shortage of money is a good thing, while others believed that it quite better to try and improve that kind situations. I will discuss the both sides of arguments and try to reach to the conclusion.

To begin with, people take the bad situation like unsatisfactory job or shortage of money in a good way for two reasons. Firstly, people learn to compromize in every situation. For instance, when they want something however they can not have it, due to some problem then they compromize their desire. Secondly, it is better to stay on one thing. many people who belong from middle class or lower class family can not get a change to get a higher position job in a company.

In spite of these facts, I personally believed that improving and trying to do better from the bad situations is much more better than accepting the fact. If people start accepting every bad situation that happened in their life it can effect their health. there are several advantages of trying and improving the bad situation. first of all , if you try to improve

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You introduce both views and state a preference for improving difficult circumstances, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partial: the reasons for accepting a bad situation are briefly listed, while the argument for trying to improve it stops mid-sentence at “first of all, if you try to improve”. The opening also promises a conclusion, but none is provided, and your own position is not fully explained or supported with a developed example. The response is 53 words below the required minimum, which contributes to the limited coverage. To strengthen the answer, complete both sides, explain the consequences of each approach, and give a clear concluding opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction is followed by a paragraph on acceptance and then one expressing your preference for improvement. Signposting such as “To begin with”, “Firstly”, “Secondly” and “In spite of these facts” helps readers identify the intended stages of the argument. However, progression is limited because the final paragraph breaks off, and the promised conclusion is absent. Some links are also awkward or unclear, as in “when they want something however they can not have it, due to some problem then”. Use complete, focused paragraphs and make the relationship between ideas explicit. A brief conclusion that restates your view would give the response a clearer overall progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “unsatisfactory job”, “shortage of money”, “compromize” and “higher position job”. The meaning is generally recoverable, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, which can make the argument less clear. For example, “stay on one thing” does not clearly express the intended idea, and “do better from the bad situations” is not idiomatic. Spelling errors such as “compromize” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing acceptance, financial hardship and career prospects, and check spelling and collocations when revising.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentences, including “when they want something however they can not have it” and the conditional “If people start accepting every bad situation…”. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction, verb forms, articles and punctuation occur frequently enough to affect fluency. For example, “others believed that it quite better” is missing a verb, while “I personally believed” does not maintain the appropriate present-tense form. Commas are also misplaced or missing, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because”, “although” and “if”. Proofread for complete sentences and consistent tense.
