Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and give a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, especially through the example of taking online courses to find better-paid work. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the benefits of accepting a situation are mainly described as reduced stress, while the improvement argument is asserted rather than explored in depth. The position also becomes unclear in “individuals should never simply accepted a bad situation like in conclusion,” before the final sentence restates your preference. The response is 248 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum. Develop each view with a fuller explanation or example, and state your opinion consistently in a clear introduction and conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation: the response moves from an introduction to one paragraph for each view and then a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “on the one hand,” “on the other hand,” and “for instance” help identify the discussion’s stages. However, progression is weakened by abrupt or incomplete statements, including “this active mindset. leads to personal growth” and “everyone would try to achieve success.” The conclusion also repeats the improvement argument without clearly resolving the earlier position. Some connections between sentences are mechanical, and punctuation sometimes interrupts the flow. Use complete, logically connected sentences, make each paragraph develop one central point, and use referencing and transitions accurately rather than relying mainly on formulaic signposts.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial,” “stress and anxiety,” “personal growth,” and “setting goals.” These expressions show an attempt to discuss both emotional wellbeing and practical improvement. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “situarion,” “impacable,” “opportunites,” and “satisfied career.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “financial stage” and “learning to the content with what you have.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. Building a small set of topic-specific phrases for employment, financial hardship, and coping strategies would help you express your ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if a person is stuck in an unsatisfactory job” and a concluding sentence with several actions. However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “accepting a situarion bring temporary peace of mind,” “he still pay the bills,” and “individuals should never simply accepted.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “this active mindset. leads.” Practise subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, and complete sentence construction. After drafting, check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb and that clauses are joined and punctuated correctly.
