Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the point that older people advise acceptance is mentioned without explaining why accepting hardship may be sensible, while the claim that improvement benefits the next generation is not supported with a clear example. Your Pakistan example and reference to people in your hometown are difficult to interpret, so they do not effectively substantiate the argument. The opinion is present, but it is repeated more than it is explained. To strengthen the response, clarify the reasons behind each view and use specific, relevant examples that show how the situations can be accepted or improved.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand,” “In my view,” and “To conclude” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear because ideas are asserted without being connected or explained. For example, the reference to “Pakistan money people” does not make the relationship between hardship and becoming rich clear. Some linking phrases are also mechanical or repetitive, and references such as “both” and “this” do not always identify the idea precisely. Build each paragraph around one clear point, then explain it and connect it to a specific example.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “shortage of money,” “bad circumstances,” “beneficial,” and “compelling motive.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “heartbroken movements of life,” “pros and coins,” and “undertake and enhance such situations” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling and word-form errors, including “determental,” “enance,” and “arguements,” also reduce clarity. Aim for accurate, straightforward expressions before trying more elaborate vocabulary: for example, use “financial hardship,” “advantages and disadvantages,” and “improve one’s circumstances.” Proofreading for spelling and checking how words combine would make your ideas much easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “due to” and “owing to,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and sentence construction appear in examples such as “Others argued that is better” and “after i will elaborate,” while “I prefer to better to undertake” shows difficulty forming a correct preference structure. Articles, agreement, and punctuation also need attention; for instance, “the a large number” contains an article error, and several sentences run together or begin with lowercase “some.” These problems sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
