Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this Essay we will discuss two different thoughts of public on the topic of occupation like the first thought is that many people think that it is good to agree a mal situation rather than a unenjoyable post and scarcity of funds. On the other hand most of the crowd think that it is good to take a challenging path of improving such situations .

According to me there are two points which differentiate these two topics from each other. first point of discussion is salary or the wages given to the people and their family background they come from .

The first thought is valid for people who are Employed. Sometimes many people who are young in the family have a responsibilty of taking care of the family financially due to this many accept a job which they do not like but because of the job their house is having food. In My family, Rahul his family was poor and he studied engineering , when he completed his bachelors he did not got any job so to support the family he started working in a restraunt. On the other hand people think that it is important to overcome this kind of situation which is very good if the person is ready to take a risk and the family is willing to support financially . One of my friends Abhishek was a Mechanical Engineer but he was not satisfied with his job and decided to become a Financial Analyst by doing Masters in Finacial Technology. Both the cases are valid in individual situations but according to me the person should take the risk and enjoy his occupation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and give a clear personal preference in the final sentence: “the person should take the risk and enjoy his occupation.” The examples of Rahul accepting restaurant work to support his family and Abhishek changing careers are relevant and help illustrate the two positions. However, the response only partially develops the discussion. The opening is difficult to interpret, and the statement that “there are two points” is not followed by a clear explanation of those points. The reasons for accepting a difficult situation and for trying to improve it are mostly asserted rather than explored. Develop each view with a fuller explanation, then connect your examples directly to those reasons and state your position more clearly throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the response introduces the two views, gives examples, and ends with an opinion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand” and “According to me” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is not clear across the essay. The second paragraph announces “two points” but does not organise or explain them, and the long third paragraph combines both sides, two examples, and the conclusion. Some connections are also unclear, particularly the shift from salary and family background to the examples. Use separate paragraphs for each view and a final paragraph for your opinion, with each paragraph developing one main idea and clear links between claims and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “financially,” “responsibility,” “satisfied with his job,” and “take a risk,” so the reader can identify the subject and the examples. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. For example, “agree a mal situation” does not clearly express accepting a bad situation, while “unenjoyable post” is an awkward way to describe an unsatisfactory job. There are also spelling errors such as “responsibilty,” “restraunt,” and “Finacial.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling; this will make your ideas clearer and more appropriate for an academic discussion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain causes, as in “many people who are young in the family have a responsibilty … due to this many accept a job.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation occur frequently: “he did not got any job” should use the base form after “did not,” and “when he completed his bachelors” needs more accurate phrasing and punctuation. The opening also contains incomplete or poorly controlled sentence structures. Practise building clear sentences with one main clause and correctly attached supporting clauses, and check verb forms and sentence boundaries carefully.
