Student answer (Band 6.0)

In few eyes working harder to get out of the bad situation is better than just accepting it, whereas other believes the opposite. In my view, working toward the betterment is much more essential than compromising with your own happiness because trying will either lead toward success or failure, however in both cases a person will gain may it be knowledge or experience.

On one hand, accepting the detrimental situation can provide an ease at the moment in life but being in the same place for long run will create self doubt and regret in the future. People think accepting the situation even when they aren't satisfied will provide them ease and calmness they required. They learn to compromise with there desire, they limit their skills and life becomes monotonous. Due to which they often spend their life in sorrow and sadness which might lead to health issues.

On the other hand, while dreaming big and working to achieve it might be daunting process, however, once its achieved all the hard work will be worth the while. For example, working on a research, people will often have to search for the methods, contact people, study, write, correct it. Working on a reaserch requires time and effort and despite giving it all the research mightn't be funded or published. Nevertheless, the knowledge gained from the whole process remains and would giude toward new prespective.

In conclusion, some individual think being okay with bad circumstances is better, while other believes that acting on conditions and trying to improve it more likable. From my prespective, each person should work hard to change things because it comes learning and growing which is much more satisfying than being stuck on the place you don't like.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both views and make your own position clear: you argue that people should try to improve their circumstances because effort can bring success or valuable experience. The two body paragraphs are relevant, and the research example helps illustrate that effort can still produce learning even when the desired outcome is not achieved. However, the case for accepting a bad situation is less fully explored: you mainly describe its possible emotional costs, without explaining when acceptance might be sensible or beneficial. The research example is also somewhat narrow and could be linked more explicitly to unsatisfactory work or financial hardship. To strengthen the response, develop both sides more evenly and support each with a specific, clearly explained example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your position. Signposting such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. The argument also moves logically from the possible comfort of acceptance to the benefits of trying to change circumstances. Some connections are less smooth, however: “Due to which” is an awkward sentence opening, and the long sequence of research activities reads more like a list than a developed explanation. The conclusion repeats the main position but does not add a final synthesis of the two views. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and vary transitions so the structure feels less formulaic.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary and attempt some less common expressions, including “detrimental situation,” “monotonous,” “daunting,” and “compromising.” These choices help convey the topic, and the meaning is generally clear. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “In few eyes,” “provide them ease,” and “working on a research.” There are also spelling errors, including “reaserch,” “giude,” and “prespective,” which reduce the accuracy of the vocabulary. Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For example, “in some people’s view,” “give them a sense of ease,” and “conducting research” would express your ideas more idiomatically.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including contrast clauses and conditional structures, as in “trying will either lead toward success or failure.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make sentences awkward. Examples include “other believes” instead of “others believe,” “for long run” instead of “in the long run,” and “once its achieved,” where the possessive form and passive construction are needed. Some sentences also have unclear or incomplete structures, such as “Due to which they often spend their life…” and “because it comes learning and growing.” Work on subject–verb agreement, articles, pronouns, and complete clause construction. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex ideas easier to read.
